But honestly I really don't care. Scott was over tonight and they were talking about people in their classes in hs so anyways they started talking about some girl with 11 toes or something then the hubby started acting really weird. Well, I figured it had to be something big because usually he doesn't mind talking about his exes so I asked wtf was the big secret. He said he dated the girls sister and then he pretty much started comparing us. Well it wasn't but like 10 seconds before Scott told him he needed to shut up before he got into trouble (weird I know scott being the peace maker). In fact he had some good advice for floyd this time by telling him that when talking about exes that he should always say that they aren't nearly as good as his wife. Well I was ticked and let him know that i wasn't happy about the incident. Well he acted like he didn't care. So that was like insult added to injury. So after watching Eragon tonight and checking my e-mail i laid down with the baby to nurse him. The hubby comes in and acts like everything is peachy keen. I told him I was still miffed. So he tells me I don't even know what I'm mad about and I told him why I was upset. So instead of listening or even giving 2 shits he got angry with me. I'm just like wtf you're mad at me for being upset with you. That's just dumb. So here I am hanging out here and playing on line. He can be mad I don't really care. I've told him a million times that I don't like how often he brings up his exes, and it pisses me off even more for him to talk about them on and on and on and not for the normal reasons, mainly because if I even mention an ex or even a male friend he gets soooo pissy. I don't know it's just childish and dumb, and honestly i just don't feel like letting him ruin my night.
Anyways honestly do you think I overreacted to the ex thing, cuz hey I'm still hormonal and all it could happen then again ... hehe
jessica hon, it sounds like hubs has some serious growing up to do. why are either one of you talking about ex's anyway? your nor his have no bearing on your life now. just seems like a way to get under each others skin.
when he brings this kind of stuff up i'd either change the subject or leave the room & find something else to do. it's a waste of energy to get annoyed w/him.
consider this advise from an older woman lol.

LOL honestly I never talk about my exes well last week I mentioned one because we were talking about our first cars and it was quite funny because my dad gave me my first car, except it was a stick shift and the fly wheel was totally shot! Well, I didn't know exactly how to drive a stick yet and wanted to make sure I could before I put that much money into it. The poor guy had to jump out at every single stop sign in town when I killed it to push the car so I could pop the clutch.
Yeah that's kinda what I did. I just ignored him and went on watching Eragon. I'd have probably gotten over it had he just dropped it. I'm honestly not even pissed about the talking about exes thing. It's just the childish attitude he had. Of course this morning he was kissing my butt but I think I'll make him make breakfast before warming up.
Way back in The Dark Ages, when my husband and I first became engaged, he introduced me to one of his old girlfriends. They had been quite serious their senior year in high school, and he wanted me to meet her, and for her to meet me.
Well, she and I bonded! I really liked this person. She's smart, funny, attractive, and really very nice.
Of course, my husband and I got married, then Jenny got married (we went), and I had Jenny and her husband to dinner once or twice. Ultimately, we drifted apart, as people do, but many years later we reconnected by phone once or twice after children began arriving.
About ten years ago, Jenny divorced her husband, and it happened to be just at a time when she and my husband had a high school reunion year coming up. Her husband had never been interested in going, so she hadn't gone to any. I'd gone with my husband once, but really didn't know anyone there since I'd gone to a different school. I thought that it would be a hoot for my husband and Jenny to go together to the current one!
So, on the night of the big event, she came to our house (she lived about 45 minutes away), showed us photo albums of her son, met our kids, and then changed into her party clothes. Looked great!!! When she and my husband arrived together at the reunion, everyone said, "OH, we always just KNEW that the two of you would end up together!" LOL...!!!
That was a long time ago, and Jenny moved to Oklahoma soon after that (we're in Virginia), and (at a ripe "old" age), put herself through law school. (Told you she's smart.)
Just a few days ago, Jenny surfaced again to say that business was bringing her back to the Washington, DC area for the first time in many years. She wondered if we wanted to get together briefly. Consequently, the three of us are going to dinner together at a favorite little French restaurant that my husband and I (and kids) have gone to for years, and just love. This is all happening next month...
The point of this little tale is that husbands don't need to be jerks about exes, and exes can sometimes be class acts -- as Jenny is. If they aren't, then put them in the past, and leave them there!!!

Thank you!!! Now from what I've heard about a few of the hubby's exes well they aren't anything like Jenny lol, buuuut I am friends with one of his exes, I actually knew her before he and I were together, so I don't see the big deal. I think he's just a little bit insecure. He dated some girls who were bad about cheating and it was always with exes. He really needs to get over that. I know it's hard but welll, you know what I mean
No no no. You missed the rule. The rule is we are allowed to think horribly about whichever ex-girlfriends, etc we want and you're supposed to support us and we in turn will agree that yes, we are better then all of your ex-boyfriends, etc. and how could you have ever dated someone like that! and how better off you are now

Not sure if any of you read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, but it just hits the nail on the head. When my husband and I try to talk, it's just all one big misunderstanding after another. maybe there's a chapter on exes
My husband gets jealous when I call a friend in Florida, I'm not sure if he thinks we dated or what, but he got all drunk and snarky one night and said, just move to Florida with John.. It's like where the hell did that come from?
But I take into consideration his ex cheated on him and he's probably really possesive, but I usually don't pay all that attention to it.
Yup my hubby dated some real losers as well. Most cheated and did so with his friends. He just needs to get it in his head that i'm the perfect lol. no i know i'm not perfect but i sure as heck am nothing like his bad exes and the thought of me comparing me to some of these girls .. yuck!!!
