sorry, sarah j, but i wholeheartedly disagree.

just b/c you've been around forever doesn't mean you will always be. he's had a good run. there are budgetary consideration that need to come into play here.

PC has been little more than recurring for years....even before he got sick. why should abc pay him contract salary ~~~ which i'm sure has to be pretty dang high from when he was in his heyday ~~~ only to have him on camera two or three times a month..if that? they offered him a deal comeserate w/the amount of time they think they can use him. to have offered him contract status would have been financially irresponsible at this point. he CHOSE to refuse their offer. it's not about the work for him, but it does seem to be about money & status.

i can say something here i can't say on other sites. PC rep is dreadful. i met him years ago & he lived up to every aweful thing i'd heard about him. even erika sleezak said words to that effect in her newsletter ~~~ something about him being as nice as phil can be expected to be. read between the lines here. when they write asa they write PC .... at least that's what i saw.

i won't miss him.
