I'm going to Vegas next weekend!

Well, I decided tonight that I'm in a funk, and I need to do something different.... I called my daughter, and she's available, so I bought us a couple of plane tickets, and we fly out of Boston on April 26.

I'm so psyched, I have never been there! It's been almost three months since my surgery, and I decided to treat us. We fly back the following Monday night.

Any suggestions on where to stay would be appreciated, and activities to do, also!

my sister loves Vegas. I will ask her where she likes to stay. I wish you were my mom, how great would it be to just fly off to Vegas for the weekend

My suggestions:

see all the fun hotels, they have some neat themes, I liked lunch at Paris and the Venetian

Also see what shows are there and book some, they have the best shows

and get a facial at Ceasar's

There's so much more than gambling there

Watch out for weirdos on the streets, there's a few of those

I made reservations at the MGM Grand. Their pools look INCREDIBLE, so I can see us lounging around there for a few hours!

Sabrina wants to see Cirque De Soleil (I butchered that spelling!), so we will put that on our list.

I'm also thinking massages and facials at Ceasers, and the other stuff that Tina suggested.

Thanks for the input, and I still have a week before I get on the plane, so any other suggestions would be great. You guys are awesome!

Tess, you can't miss Cirque du Soleil! Every one of their shows is amazing. I've seen 5 or 6 of them, loved them all, bought the CD's - the music is enchanting. Cirque sets up their tents here almost every summer, but it's the travelling company, not the resident ones in Las Vegas, so the performers will be different from those I've seen, but the quality will be the same, I'm sure.

If you do catch the show, please come back and tell all about the one you saw.

Here's on that I think will be a hoot to attend!

I'm going to add this to our list!
