Maggie carts Phyllis off in handcuffs amid baby crying and much dismay for all. Victor confronts a smug Niki, asks her to explain what she knows. At this point it looks like she filed the complanit but we find out next scene that it was actually Brad, and that pisses off Victoria to no end. (Good scene!) Brad calls Sharon quickly to tell her about the arrest, and she's so angry that this mess is going to be public fodder that she thanks him for messing up her life, and hangs up on him.
Michael tries to get the name of the person who filed the charges but Bardwell refuses. Michael figures it had to be Brad, and Nick asks what the worse thing is that could happen, and Mike says she committed a felony and could go to prison. Phyllis freaks and Nick is completely supportive, cheers her up.
Victoria had called her lawyers from the church, tells Brad that they are presently trying to clean up this mess - wow, she is furious about how this scandal will affect the company, then goes to Neil with the news that Phyllis was arrested, and asks him to step down from the board and let her mother take the seat. Neil refuses. He holds his ground, says Brad did this to himself and has to deal with it, and so does she.
Jack can hardly believe the story of the arrest when Sharon tells him about it. Jack says Phyllis couldn't do this, she'd changed, then realises Sharon didn't tell him about the blackmail and rips into her for lying again. He's fuming angry, and as their voices raise, Noah comes down. Jack defuses the situation and Noah trips back up the stairs to wait for them to come read his book. Jack asks Sharon if there's anything else she needs to tell him, she says no, he says then they're done.
Against Michael's warning, Nick goes to Brad with choice words and is interrupted by Victoria, Brad leaves. Nick urges his sister to leave the loser before it gets any worse.
Brad runs into Neil in the break room. He thanks Brad for voting for him and that he won't give up his board seat without a huge fight.
Nicki tells her campaign people that her stripper video has been replaced with the news that her newly married d-i-l was hauled off in handcuffs. They all gloat that this will adversely affect Jack's campaign.
Victor visits Sharon, says the damage her affair with Brad has been done and there's no erasing it now. Jack comes down and they discuss the Clear Springs deal, and Jack's need to make a statement to the press. Victor leaves and Jack snarks to Sharon about her credibility.
Michael and Phyllis arrive at the Baldwins, followed shortly by Nick. Mike advises them not to say a word to the press as anything they say could be held against them. N&P kiss and hug.
Sharon comes back downstairs, Noah fell asleep. She thanks Jack for his help with him, and he leaves her to return to his own house, instead of staying with Sharon as they had planned.
Another argument ends badly between Victoria and Brad.
Nick assures Phyllis he won't let her go to prison - he'll tell Brad's story to the right people and he'll back off, She can't let him because he could go to prison too.
Neil and Victor have a heart-to-heart and Victor supports Neil completely. Victor tells him thta he wishes he'd never laid eyes on Brad. Victor has a plan.
Brad goes to Niki, says their plan is working, then flashback to their little previous meeting. AHA!! She tells him either he goes to the police or she will. It's all about her board seat and giving Jack a hit in the polls. Ugly Niki and Brad!! Brad stalks out, Niki summons David Chow, gives him full permission to use this latest scandal against Jack.
Next:
Sharon asks Brad if he thrives on people hating him and he replies that there doesn't seem to be any way around it.
Michael asks Gloria where she got Bardwell's file on the tainted cream affair.
Victoria angrily confronts her mother, says the affair isn't for her to make public and use in her damn campaign.
Niki has turned VILE! I couldn't believe she'd sacrafice her own daughter for her damn campaign. She's turning into a Victor without the moral compunctions. I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see Jack eat her for breakfast.
