That's just horrible that they couldn't give him a proper "cowboy" send off for goodness sakes he's been on the show for at least 20 years! And he was such a big part of the show, he was a Buchanan, not just some side player

I don't care on what terms he left, he deserved better than this!
i read somewhere that they wanted to give him a good send off but due to the timing of negotiations they couldn't b/c phil carey would not work past his last contractual day....wouldn't extend even for a few weeks which seems totally in character for PC.
i think he will die off screen.

From what little I've read about PC, I'm assuming Kris here is right, and that Asa's departure will be dealt with as an off-screen event.
I remember when the Buchanans first came to Llanview as a bunch of cowboys that didn't seem to fit in with the rest of Llanview, then they became the central figures. I still love Bo. Too bad the rest of them fared so badly.
