WOW!! It HAS been a whole year already. And such changes in 12 months. Last year at this time, Anonymous Fan and I were basically kicked out of live posting over at the other place, Jess, Jodi and Bran, along with Sophia, started up this great board as a refuge so we could talk amongst ourselves without arbitrary decisions to shut us up.
After a year of chatting away with all of you, I really do feel that we are all friends. I don't recall even one single exchange here that has been anything but friendly and courteous, warm and encouraging, and just plain comfortable.
Thanks to all of you kids who have monitored and kept the place alive and happy. It's a little room I love visiting when I have a few minutes or hours in the day, to share joys and sorrows, frustrations and jokes. Oh yeah, and comments about soap operas, LOL.
Happy Birthday to us all!!! Here's the champagne and glasses, homemade ice tea with lemon for Bran, Chardonnay for Moore and me, and tequilla for you gals that enjoy a little of the hard stuff.
Wow this has been such a year! We have all been through so much together. I value you all so much! Oh it's late I have too much to say but oh lol I feel like such a sentimental sap lol. Love ya all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
doesn't seem possible that an entire year has passed! makes me wonder why some places people can disagree respectfully & others everyone is after the jugular!
this place is so great.

My mother's been in hospital for 8 weeks, Dad struggling to keep things going for himself and me trying to help any way I can. They'll have to have full time live-in help when she's released in July. And she will no longer be allowed to drive a car.
Youngest son in Australia and SE Asia for another 7 months.
Middle son's marriage ended and his ex had another guy's baby before the divorce came through. He and his Aussie gf moved in here for 3 months, then he sent her packing back to Oz after a tempestuous, messy relationship, then moved from a 5 star residential hotel into a student housing ghetto, lost his job when his nutty employer closed up shop, will be going back to school in September. He was gone a whole year travelling, arrived back home in September 06.
Oldest son's expecting baby number 2 in November.
Husband's job status changed, now works from home mornings (and wants lunch).
One of my dogs was diagnosed with epilepsy, now on meds twice a day for life. No more seizures, thank God!
I'm no longer working in the family business after many years. I've earned my leisure, but now busier than ever between babysirtting both my parents and the little one.
Those damn cable companies are such greedy guts! Ours here went up too, then they tried to double charge us for our "free" digital. We complained and they backed off. And they want $6.99 per movie on the direct movie thingy! We've only ordered one a couple of times, and it is easier than going to the rental outlets, but sheesh!
we had direct tv when we were in MD. But at our house here in CT the stupid people couldnt find a good spot to put the dish so that it would get that satellite. So now we are stuck with cable. We both miss the dish
I'm sorry to hear that Missy, my grandfather passed away in December. I was actually more relieved than sad though. He was in so much pain, and the day that he died was the day they had admitted him into the nursing home. THat was really the last thing in the world he wanted.
