My husband loves the show, so we've been watching pretty regularly for the past few weeks. I said all along that I thought Jordin would win it, with Blake coming in second, and it looks like that's what's about to happen.
I was so relieved that Melinda was sent home last night. She's a very capable singer, but doesn't have the appeal necessary to make it as a solo artist, and not to be unkind, but her looks didn't help matters. (Not that this is a beauty contest, because obviously it isn't. But all other winners have had that "IT" factor, one way or another.)
I completely agree. Jordin was my favorite from the beginning. I'm glad to see her in the finale.
I was also relieved to see Melinda go. I agree with you completely. Sure she has the voice, but to me she wasn't very entertaining to watch. She didn't have that star quality to me.

I am watching!!!! OH Jordin sang beautifully last night, but I love Blake. I do hope that Jordin wins though, because I don't think Blake wants to do just hte regular old pop genre. If he loses he'll definitely get picked up by someone who will hopefully give him creative reign.
all three of them will get a contract...as a Phoenix girl I am totally rooting for Jordin...and her song last night was awesome...I just worry because she really is so young
So, did you watch last night again? Looks like Jordin will take the prize tonight. But at 17, will she have the maturity to ride the wave successfully?
Kae, thats what I worry about. Though Sanjaya is really young too and look at how famous he has become...I am certain that Jordin will win, though Blake is really good and we will see a CD from him shortly.
I only watched the last two songs, I am not usualy an AI fan...I didnt even stay up to watch DTWS last night...ugh...
Bleh. There's not really one person from American Idol that's done anything I care about. Daughtry is minorly entertaining, but that's it. The rest.... bleh.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a lot of people love them and buy their stuff but for me, just not there to where I want anything they've done even at 99 cents through ITunes. That being said, Carrie Underwood seems quite nice and of course pretty. Same goes for McPhee too.
My only trouble is they all seem cut from the same mold with the exceptions of Bice, Constantine and Daughtry. And none of those three guys have done anything to get my attention although Daughtry did well with It's Not Over.

hey Carrie was the first to go country...and then Kelly Pickler joined in...though there was that Marine who went country too...I cant remember what season he was on. But he hasnt done much past that first CD......Josh Gracin, thats his name.
I think I read that Carrie Underwood has sold the most records of all the Idols...I LOVE her new song, and her rendition of I'll Stand by You" is really good too
yeah I saw that Apolo won, he really was better I thought....Its on my DVR I will watch it later...Totally forgot to record last nights SVU, Star Jones was sposed to be on it...
I absolutely love Blake!!! He is my favorite on the whole show. Now don't get me wrong I like Jordin and I want her to win because I know if Blake wins he probably won't get the creative reign that he will need.
