That really surprised me. She was coming unglued when Carlos confronted her about taking birth control pills, but she didn't seem all that desperate!
I haven't seen any spoilers for next season, so I don't know if she survives or not.
I really liked the wedding scene for Mike and Susan, though. I wish more people married quietly without all the whoop-de-do so many seem to feel necessary lately. We've been to some ridiculously extravagant weddings, and honestly, I can't see why people go to so much trouble. UGH.
Edie's "suicide" (I put in quotes, cuz I'm not believing til I know for sure) was the only thing I didn't see coming from the finale. I saw the letter and was like...oh no. lol I can't wait to see what happens.

It's a sad, sad day. Veronica Mars has officially been cancelled.
Oh well, just adding that there's a very old movie starring Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue with the same theme. Sandra Dee's character gets pregnant as a young teen and her mother in the movie, played by Barbara Rush, I think, pretends that she had the baby and raised it as her own. It was a tragic story with a sad ending. Anyway, it's not a new idea, lol.
the guy who plays lynette's hubby was on The View yesterday & he wouldn't give it up. said that it's the season cliff hanger & we have to wait for the fall. i could have smacked him! lol

Marc Cherry had a short interview on the View last week and he said that the last five minutes was the biggest shocker and that it was something that hadnt been done before....One of the women asked if that meant death and he got really quiet...I hate to say it but having Edie be dead serves more purpose story wise then having her alive..
and about her being desperate....its because of the make believe conversation she had with her mother in the beginning of the show where her mother said she would end up dying alone just like she did...she didnt want that to happen so she killed herself...Makes sense, but holy cow
i dont think she did, if she did she wouldnt have lied to him that way...she knew how important it was to him to be a father....she just didnt like being alone
Edie is the one played by ummm oh crap. Crap! Crap! Crap! Ugh she's marrying Michael Bolton ummmm grrrrr .... Ok nicolette Sheridan .. ok so I'm on track now. She was on the View the other day and I guess she's going to have an interesting story line next season. Maybe she attempts suicide, but fails ... gets put in the coocoo bin oh and falls in love with a crazy dude (a dude who thinks he's Abe Lincoln) they both get out of the assylum and get married. Sadly, on their honeymoon, he pays someone to assassinate him in the same booth in which the real Abe Lincoln was killed. She spirals a bit deeper into madness after that and decides ... she likes girls, after experimenting with a few of the more manly girls she falls in live with a wonderful woman, only to find out she's a he ... He dressed up in drag one night and competed at the local drag bar one night so that he could use his winnings to help pay for his sister's back medical bills from her heart transplant. She decides she's not into girls anymore and gives the guy a chance. When she meets his family for Christmas Dinner, she finds out that his sister's heart came from none other than Alice. Oh boy that's bad it was only supposed to be a little blurb lol.
OK I'll try to keep to exactly what she said. When she ws asked about next season on the show she said that she and the producers have been talking, and they have something new and interesting for Edie. She thinks it will be fun to go down "this road". So who knows? SHe was cryptic about it all.
I read on wikipedia that Nicolette is leaving Hollywood to become a horse farmer. It said that her and Michael Bolton are moving to a California ranch. I know that Wikipedia can be unreliable a lot, but that is what it says, and judging from tonight's episode, it might actually be true and Edie might really be dead.
so if this is true maybe she will take over as narrator. That is different for sure. And she wouldnt need to be in LA to do it
