What I think might have worked for the Miles character is if they had cast a drop dead gorgeous, loin-quiveration (Lainey's term, love it) guy in the role. Then there could have been some conflict as the character turns creepy. This actor, (forget his name or maybe never knew it) is a nice looking man, but the creep factor is just an instant turn-off.
