Heather's dress was awful! And I don't like Kassie's either. Nor the black thing the blonde from AMC had on. But GF looked amazing! I wasn't too surprised by her win, but hoped HT would take it.
I got to watch last night from 9 pm onward! Husband fell asleep after I stuffed him with salmon and bbqed vegies.
I really like both actors, and both did have some good material this year. I would have been over the moon if Peter had won as well, but he has a few Emmys under his belt anyway, doesn't he?
I'd love to know which scenes were submitted for each actor. Any record of it somewhere? Should I rerun my tape of the Emmy show for them? I'm a bit lazy today.
I did not recognize some of them, they do their hair different, than the character they play or whatever. Genie Francis looks gorgeous! I like Amanda's dress (AMC) and Dr. Bailey (GA)
In a Picture I saw of Bree Williamson, she looks like Barbie!
There isn't a pic posted among Shelly's of Eric Steinburg (Ji Min on Y&R) but he was wearing a sarong and some trumpet cuffed shirt. I think he's sexy as all get out, but that outfit left me pretty stunned. I don't know what statement he was trying to make in that, but I'll likley never get the image out of my head when I see him on the show. What a mistake!
As for Bree and Beth Ann, they seem to be hanging out an awful lot together, and from what little I've read, it's probably not a good thing. I've seen some pretty unflattering things written about those two when they're at fan events, and I'm disappointed, especially in Bree.
Now KDP's dress looks like a Norval Morriseau print and print dresses just don't do it for me at a red carpet event. I honestly thought she had better taste.
One of the best dressed, I think, was Melody Thomas Scott from Y&R. It was a simple black cocktail dress with a little peekaboo cut out. Her shoes and bag were knock-outs. I like the understated look so much better than the big silly thing on Tyra Banks, for example. Oh, and Judith Chapman looked fabulous!
HBS disappointed me as well. She chose a dress and hair style that would have looked much better on someone a good ten years younger.
As far as the guy who plays JiMin, I think he said something about it being a tradition...which means I dont think the mags will make fun of him for it...Kassie's dress was a bit odd, and HBS's dress made her look older then she needed to....
Hey Shelly, there's an old expression "mutton dressed as lamb" when referring to a woman that wears something too young for her. It actually ages her, and that's what we're both saying about HBS and that baby-doll dress. Sort of reminded me of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane".
Just curious, what did you think of REG's dress? I'll be polite and say that I didn't think it suited her at all.
Re Ji Min - oh, tradition, huh? Still a weird choice at an American show. Oh well, to each his own.
