Well, I wish I had a positive follow up to that last post but unfortunately- for me at least :)- This one isn't much brighter. You guys have been there for me through thick and through thin (pun intended :) )- and many of you....from show to show and character to character- so I felt that you had the right to know before everyone else. I absolutely love you all and know that this is the least I can do....
I was notified today that I will no longer be part of the cast of Y&R and that the last day I worked (last week) was actually my last day there. I wish I would have known that then... and had taken the opportunity to let everyone know just how much I enjoyed working with them in addition to how greatly they will be missed.
I love and adore the cast/crew and production and I am very thankful to Sony/CBS, Marnie Saitta, Barbara Bloom, Ed and Kathy, Y&R and all others involved in my casting.... for providing me with this amazing opportunity. It has been an honor to work with yet again, an award winning cast and crew (not to mention loving, supportive, professional....a wonderful second family)...and to have been part of not only an amazing show but the number one daytime drama. That's been a blast. I hold only fond memories (well minus this one) and wish the show all the best especially with their future Colleen plans. She's a wonderful character and has so much potential.
So, here we are closing another chapter of my life....... but moving forward as always....there are other things (both music/acting) in the works so .....it's not suuuuuch a sad thing. After taking a much needed break- I'll be back. Love you all and thanks for everything! Xxoxo- Adrianne
Me too. At first, I wasn't happy about her taking over the role from Lyndsay because she was so different, but the second she was paired with the professor, I loved it. They worked so well together and it was magic.
I'm assuming there will be someone new in the role. Wonder who it'll be.
Funny, she was on GH before I started watching it but IMDB said she had tried out for Georgie. I think I would have liked her more then the current Georgie. Not that the current one is bad. But she looks like she could bring a bit more "sexy" to the role.
Oh well, Y/R's lost is hopefully ABC's or Days' gain.

hopefully they dont do like they did with the character of Lily and bring bacl Lyndsay. I dont know that she would have the same chemistry with the sexy proffesor
Nope, that wouldn't work at all, I agree. Lyndsay (or however you spell it) was a good teenaged Colleen, but I can't see her playing a romantic part with the professor either.
Just like the 3rd casting of Mac, Y&R has made some pretty bad casting mistakes. Do you remember a Jill waaaaay back that was horrible? A Brenda something? Isn't she the one who went to jail lately? Then there was an Ashley I couldn't stand either...what was her name...oh, Shari Shatuck, I think. Oh, and the most recent Billy, ugh.
Oh, that's right. I'd forgotten about that one. That's when MS went off to a prime time soap that ended up getting cancelled after a few episodes. Naw, I didn't like her too much either.
But some recasts have been really good. PB's Jack is the only Jack as far as I'm concerned. Terry Lester's Jack was a completely different character. And I didn't mind the second Billy Abbott.
Y&R does some of the weirdest recasts! She's nothing like Adrienne at all. Oh well, maybe she'll work it out. I'm still shaking my head over the last Billy Abbot recast. What the hell were they thinking with that one??
And where is Ji Min? Did Katherine send him packing back to Korea or something? I vaguely remember something like that. I liked him.
oh yeah, didnt he tell Jill that he needed to go to Korea and for whatever reason couldnt take her with him. I always thought he was hot but can no longer get the image of him at the Emmy's out of my head...
and good call on the Billy recast. I have heard rumors that David Tom would be coming back but then the rumors went away
Oh right! Eric wore that sarong, part of his "native" dress thing. That was a fantasy spoiler, for sure, LOL. What the heck was he thinking? Bad move for an aspiring soap actor, if you ask me.
