Niki seems to be winning the senate race while Jack holds out hope the exit polls are off.
Jana calls Colleen and asks for her help in winning Kevin back! She loves him and wishes she could take back everything she did. Colleen refuses at first until Jana insists she take down her number.

Uck - Niki discusses her worries about the election with Katherine, says she HAS to beat Jack. Flip over to Jack reading press releases that aren't too flattering. Sharon gives him encouragement, then Phyllis reads a huge slam on Niki, so the race is still looking very close with jack having a tiny lead.
Victoria leaves a long message for JT about her morning/all-day sickness distracting her from the election. She runs into the professor at CL, makes small talk.
Colleen bursts into Kevin's place with the news that Jana called her, made her feel sick all over again. Kevin fills her in on all the text and IM's he'd had from Jana and how he's been playing an emotional game with her and he really needs Colleen to help him catch her. Colleen acts horrified by the idea.

Kevin is working on Colleen to help him nab Jana, but she says she can't go back. She has panic attacks, nightmares.... . He's beginning to get to her and she asks for a little ttime.
Nick tells Logan that he has to get home to his family. He notes that Logan is giving him all the food and starving herself.

Niki's pissed off but thanks her staff. Karen tells her it's time to make a concession speech just as Jack calls her and she blows him off in a snippy way. She refuses to say the speech Karen had written for her. Instead she plans on revealing Jack's real character, against the advice of David. Says she has nothing to lose.
Kevin calls Jana, makes nice. (Nice to see Jana back!) Jana's sucked in.
Colleen meets Korbell at Jack's house, tells him about Jana's phone call. Korbell's not pleased and wants Colleen to stay away.

That's one thing about Y&R - the writers don't tend to make mistakes that disappoint the viewers the way ABC does so often. Niki had been portrayed as a nasty self-righteous witch throughout the election, pretending to be "for the people", blah, blah, when all along it was about her damn ego.
Colleen tries to convince Adrian that the plan to bring Jana down will be safe, and she HAS to help kevin to bring justice to them all. Korbel warns her to break off all contact, if not for herself, then do it for him.
Niki takes the microphone, wishes Jack the very best in his responsibilities...Jack beams, Niki smirks.
Jack's turn to make his statement, makes happy talk, thanks all his staff, then all the people who did not vote for him because listening to them helped him understand their needs. Thanks Sharon, the the people whi DID vote for him, and together they can make a difference.
Logan wants to check Nick's wounds again. Nick asks her about her medical licence, why she doesn't practice medicine any longer. She wants him to leave her alone - her family died in a car accident, and she was there, saw the whole thing. They were on a picnic, and on the way home they were hit by a drunk driver. Gory account of how her 2 boys died. She feels guilty that she didn't save her kids and husband.
Nick has an infection, could get worse, and they need to get him to a hospital NOW.
Had to pause the Y&R for several minutes so the last parts will air for me after the hour is up. It's on break for now. And it's 16 degrees and cloudy in St. John's, in case you wanted to know.
Logan makes a make-shift splint for Nick's leg and they can leave at first light. Some concern about the infection getting into his bloodstream.
Jack glad-hands all his supporters, is congratulated by Colleen and Korbel at his party. Phyllis and Jack have a warm exchange and she understands why Jack didn't mention her name earlier.
Niki's all deflated, says that just took ten years off her life. David tries to make her feel better. Victoria tells Kay that she's still furious with her mother.
Kevin leaves a message for Colleen encouraging her to help him with Jana as Korbell comes to his door, warning him to leave Colleen out of this! He won't allow it or something. Kevin says he only needs Jana to trust him and it'll just take a couple of phone calls from Colleen to validate Kevin's "feelings" for Jana.
Colleen gets a call from Jana who insists how much regret she has for what she did. Colleen tells her that Kevin is just as sick as she is because that's why he can't get over her. Jana eats it right up.
David offers to give Niki a ride home and Karen yells at him for having no self-restraint. Big rant! She blurts out that this isn't the first time he's done this, and HE is the reason Niki isn't senator.
Jack tells Sharon he's truly happy now, hugs her.
Phyllis is back home alone, smiles as she looks at the Jack Abbott button she removes from her blouse.
Nick yells at Logan - says he HAS to GO NOW...and a plane is outside. She runs out but says it's gone.

So do I. I had a little trouble with her at first because the original Colleen was a fresh-faced kid and Adrienne brought a new sexiness to the part. But once she was hooked up with the professor, I liked her a lot. What a shame, eh? I wonder what the back story is to her firing. Same as Davita Sherwood's?
Also. for security reasons, she wasn't allowed to attend any of the Emmy events. What's that all about?
the article on SOC says that since she wasnt a member of the show she couldnt attend the emmy's. Like since she isnt a soap star anymore she cant go...stupid. I too wonder why she was fired. I love Y&R but think this decision is just stupid. Same with Davitta, I think that was just a matter of the idiots at Y&R liking this Lily better and decided to just take her back...stupid people
