Shelly, doesn't your DVR have an option that says transfer to tape? Maybe Bran, the resident techie, can help you.
My day - Maria is here (cleaning lady) so I'm stuck in with her. I'm waiting for call backs from agencies trying to find care-givers for my parents. My mother has a 3 day leave this weekend and I have her covered for Saturday and Sunday, but not Monday yet. My father is being very difficult as he's in denial that my mom needs full time care because she's really erratic in being careful with her movements. She can't cook or drive now. The doctor finally sent notification into the ministry of transport to revoke her licence, thank god!
The gardeners are here making a racket and the lawn didn't even really need mowing, but at least my hub cleaned up all the doggie stuff last night.
My d-i-l just called from a local shopping centre and she accidentally locked her keys in her running car. She's waiting for CAA to come help, can't drop in to pick up my mother's laundry before taking Vanessa up to see Nana.
Then as soon as Maria is finished, I have to go to my son's to babysit while d-i-l goes to a 2 hour hypnotist appointment (don't ask). My hub will meet me there and be around to feed little one dinner, then back home here to cook our dinner. That'll be 7 or 8 p.m.
Right now I'm watching Y&R which is pretty darn good today! Victor's back in full swing.
I'm working from home today, being VERY productive. It's really hot and humid here, so the dogs and I are all in a line, with a fan blowing on me. If I had known it was going to be this warm, I might have gone into the office.
I am really stuck inside here, monitoring systems and supporting end-users, so I really can't go out and float in the pool to cool down, because I am the only one supporting my system on Tuesday's and Thursday's. I litterally need to check every two to three minutes, argh!
Now I'm banished to the downstairs while Maria vacuums upstairs. The dogs are terrified of the Hoover.
Earlier, I got my dad started on Meals on Wheels - that was a pain in the neck as they kept putting me on hold, but I finally got it done and it starts on Tuesday. And I settled with an agency and got full time care-givers all weekend for mom. Expensive as hell!! My poor dad!!
Then I found another agency that brings in young women from Guyana who are trained as practical nurses as live-ins for after my mom is released from the hospital. All I have to do is convince my father that it'll be okay having a stranger live there. It's like having little children all over again. Sigh.
D-i-l's appointment is at 4 across town. I'm afraid I'll have to trust Maria to lock up today when she's done here.
I've got OLTL on in the background, but it's behind me, so I can just hear it as I'm typing. Just can't sit there watching it. Uck. LOL!! David in the towel and Viki turning into a pillar of salt, Love, love David. Love this scene!! I'm smiling as I type this. Wow, have I ever missed OLTL and some entertainment. But now we've got John and Miles, and Nattie being, well, Nattie.
