I found the owners manual for my razr and it shows a picture, but I still don't get which button it is. Anyone cell savvy??
Brandon you gonna get in on the call thing?
Do you know a website that we could all hookup a phone set and chat??
Check this out:
How do I make a conference call?
With Skype, you and 9 other people can take part in a conference call.
1. Click on the Conference call button (or go to Tools --> Create a Conference Call) which opens a Conference Call window. Click on the contact name in 'Choose Contacts' box and then click on the Add button below. Contact is added to Conference Participants window. You can add both Skype contacts and SkypeOut contacts to a conference call in the same way.
2. Once you have selected the participants, simply click the start button.
3. You'll be shown a conference tab with the names of all participants. Participants will be added to the conference call once they answer your call.
If you are already in a call and would like to add an additional participant to the call, simply select the contact you want to add from your contact list and click the conferencing toolbar button. You can also right-click on the contact and choose the option 'add to conference'.
I figured out this skype thing I can call a bunch of you at once, let's pick a time! I think I got thru to one person, and got cut off but otherwise I've got the hang of it!
trying.... now it's asking for skype credit, whereas before it was free!
If you sign up then it will be free from me to you.... although it said the conference call thing was part of the free stuff. I'm a little confused
It's free to sign up and download.
Also there is option for group chat
Whats free on SkypeCalling other Skype users anywhere in the world.
Video calls, see who youre talking to. Conference calls with up to nine users. Chats and groups chats. Skypecasts and public chats to meet new people. SkypeFind - local businesses you like.
Yeah, you got me, Cristine, but I wasn't sure that you could hear me. It sounded like there was a third voice on there too, but it may have been an automated voice. I couldn't tell...

I'm sorry that I missed the call. My town has just been hit by what appears to be a micro-burst. I just got electricity back.
We have ambulances coming in from surrounding towns, trees down on houses all over Main Street, and power lines either down, or with multiple trees down on them.
It has just started raining again, and we have another band of severe weather coming in. My cell phone is working though. I doubt I'll have electricity for much longer. My little town is on the Boston news. WOW.......

I'll be around until about 12:45, then in and out, but I'll have my cell phone on and with me. If I'm at the hospital, I have to leave it in my car.
This is how we organise conference calls here - call the operator, ask for an assigned conference call phone number, set a time, then distribute the number to the involved people. Everyone calls in, and we're hooked up.
KaeEll, I remember setting up conference calls for my former boss, back in The Dark Ages when I was still working. We did it in a similar way, but with a slight modification...
We called the conference operator, and gave her all of the telephone numbers that would be involved. The SHE contacted each phone number, and told those she had contacted to stand by until everyone was on the line. At that point, the call began.
I think that it may still be done that way, but I'm not totally certain.
I know that my youngest daughter has had cell phone conference calls with her various friends, so maybe I ought to ask her!!!

Well, I've talked to Cristine, but not to anyone else...
My daughter says that she used our home phone for 3-ways in the past, and that it was really easy to do. You call one person, then hit the flash button (or whatever you use on your phone for call waiting), and then dial the third person.
She says that you can get more people involved by having the second or third person do the same thing on their phone. However, she cautions that if you get too many people on at once, some of them can be difficult to hear.
I imagine that going through the operator is the best, but also probably the most expensive!
We may end up having to do this individually, although I still think that it would be fun to have several of us on at once!
