glad the party is over!

The party went well, but like a typical hostess I hardly sat down all night and hardly got to speak to some guests. It was fun though, we had plenty of food, and I was glad to see most of it go!

Everyone loved our house!

Well done, Tina!! Hope you can put your feet up today and just vegetate. Those dos can be exhausting, and you deserve a little down time.

Take any pics?

Tina's gone back to bed, I hope!

She and her husband hosted a fairly large (40 to 60 people) party in honour of their son's graduation from elemetary school yesterday. She spent all week cleaning her house and organising all the food and the tables, etc. It was a big deal because she really wan't up for such a large gathering, but her husband kind of insisted on it, so she was under a lot of pressure to pull it off, and she DID!!

Some of the relatives were bringing food, so I'm sure that must have taken some of the burden away, but still, even if you're all into it, it's a big deal, especially if you've got a houseful of little messy ones, and you're the clean-freak type, as Tina is. And then there's the worry about weather holding up so you can all be outdoors for the cooking and eating. I think it was clear and sunny in the Chicago area yesterday, thank goodness for that!

We need pictures!

Thanks Kae, I think you described it all right! (haven't napped yet we went to the river to visit an uncle today - also perfect weather)

unfortunately I forgot all about the camera, as I was trying to be sure the food was out, cake was cut, coffee was made, people had drinks, plates were thrown away!

I did take one of me and Gabriella just before, let me upload that in a bit!

we had 65 people, biggest I ever threw, my mom and aunts were a huge help!

I washed floors first thing this morning, I hate that sticky feeling, ya know

Tina, I am so glad that everything went so well for you. It must have been nerve racking!

Oh, thanks for the WONDERFUL romantic advice the other day..... I just got home from Steve's house. We had a wonderful time, and we are getting together tomorrow night also. I may even cook dinner for him. Two days in a row, I guess that the whole being honest and expressing how I am feeling advice you gave really had some merit. THANK YOU!!!!

You and the kids look great. Gabby has an infectious smile!
