"OLTL" has cast soap newcomer John Brotherton in the contract role of Jared Banks. Jared will cause problems between Jessica and Nash. In audition scripts, the character was described as a British executive originally named Evan. It is uncertain whether or not Jared will be British as well. Look for Brotherton to first air on Tuesday, August 21st.
A new audition script was released earlier today for the recurring role of Judy, a lawyer who is hired by Marcie and Michael to help fight for custody of baby Tommy.
Zach Roerig, who joined OLTL in the recurring role of Hunter earlier this summer, is leaving Llanview next month. Roerig, left As the World Turns weeks before signing on for a six-week stay at the ABC soap. The young actor wrapped up taping on June 21. Zoerig made his "OLTL" premiere as Sarah Robert's boyfriend and Miles Laurence's hired hand in kidnapping Todd Manning on June 11th. He will last air in August.
Llanview's lovable conman David Vickers is about to leave town once more. A spokesperson for "OLTL" confirms that Tuc Watkins will be exiting the ABC sudser at the end of this month. Watkins returned for his latest 20-episode stint in late May. Watkins has played the role on and off again, with stints from 1994-1996, 2001, and 2003-2006. He most recently returned for a few episodes back in March.
