Well Michigan, along the shores of the Lake must be one of Americas best kept secrets. It was so beautiful, you'd think you were at the nicest beach in Florida! Soft sand, clear water. Warm and Sunny. We had a great time, Except I really got sick of sand.
Then we stopped by Holland, they have a dutch village, we also went to a blueberry farm and picked about 9 pounds of blueberries ourselves. The kids had fun with that.
And they make wine up there, so we bought some. So much more we could have done. I hope to make it our yearly Summer getaway, it's only a 3 hour drive.
The kids can be a pain to drive with after the first 2 1/2 hours, but we all survived. I have a ton of laundry! They kept wearing their clothes to the beach and I get saying to only wear the swimming suits
Oh and the sunsets were so gorgeous.
We had a couple of nice meals out and also cooked some in, since we had a little cabin with full kitchen. Old decor, but how picky can ya be if the price is low
I'd love to buy a Summer home there, you know when I hit the lotto!
Glad to have you back, and glad you had a great time. Did you take any pics of the scenery? I love Michigan. That whole state, well minus the heavy cities, is just beautiful
