anyone still watching Hells Kitchen

I watched tonight and am still seriously tired of everyone being so mean to Julia. And I am getting really tired of Rock too.

I was surprised that Brad got sent home, out of the guys he is the one I liked

haven't seen last night's episode yet, but yes i'm still watching.

i was so glad to see melissa finally go!

i like julia a lot, but don't think she stands a prayer of winning. i was just happy to see bitchy melissa leave before julia. i think rock is going to win.

oh DAMN! had a whole post ready to go & lost it.

i loved how chef insisted that even tho it wasn't a menu item you would find in his restaurant he wanted julia's steak dish added. and why do the other women always look so shocked when he does something like that? he clearly likes her. he clearly sees the total disrespect they treat her with. she's the only one who keeps reminding them that they need to communicate better & she's always the one who breaks their silly deadlocks over it. one thing someone from a short order kitchen learns quickly is that it all goes to shit when you stop talking to each other. them am dumb!

i think rock lost some of chef's respect when he didn't step up & help brad w/his station. i still think rock is going to win.

do you ever go to the FOX board for this show? some interesting commentary.

have to admit that this is THE MOST unsanitary kitchen on the planet. no hair coverings & they don't glove up.......a requirement when you are handling food. maybe they think the audience will be put up w/proper sanitary precautions. got a flash for them....it's quite the opposite. on the board there is constant ranting about the hair coverings/glove issue.

actually its not a requirement in all kitchens to use gloves. I have actually had Chefs who preferred no gloves because a lot of chefs/cooks put on gloves and then forget that they need to change the gloves after every task and still wash their hands.

And I have seen a lot of 5 star kitchens where they didnt wear hairnets. Weird but I think the higher you get in the chef chain the less likely you will ever see a chef wear something to cover their hair.

And while I tend to agree that Julia wont win, I still hold out hope that she will at least make it til the end. The other two girls in the kitchen have better experience but they are some hateful people.

And while Rock is probably the best contender his cockyness drives me nuts. And I dont like Jen much anymore either. I am tired of all the people who rag on Julia for being a waffle house cook. Argh

I was bittersweet tonight to see Julia win, though I love that the chef thinks that she has what it takes she just needs more training. And I can tell you that Culinary School is expensive so that is just awesome.

Rock really was a jerk tonight, I am now rooting for Jen. I like Bonnie but dont think she could handle all the pressure of her own kitchen.

I was so excited to see Heather, I loved her from the beginning last time.

Last night was one dramatic show! I would have been utterly HUMILIATED to have to leave the way Josh did. YIKES!

I really liked Julia a LOT and thought that she had a very good shot at winning. I was heartbroken to see her leave, but I loved the way CHEF handled it. He really likes her, and it was awesome that he personally is willing to pay for culinary school. AND, he flat-out told her to come back next year to win!

I hope that she'll take him up on both offers.

I think that I'm rooting for Jen now too. Rock is too much of a hot-head. I wouldn't want to work for the guy... I like Bonnie too, but I agree, Shelly, that she's just not up to running a professional kitchen yet.

What a show!

i've been thinking for a while that julia would end up w/either an apprenticeship or more formal training. ramsey likes to take on proteges & julia is his latest & boy does she deserve it. she'll be an amazing chef this time next year.

i really like rock. i do think he will win.

w/julia gone it was a hard choice....garbage retrieving jen or whiny bonnie. didn't really like either one of them.

should be an interesting finale next week.
