Mr Clean Magic Eraser - warning?

I received an email that children can get chemical burns from the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but I found nothing on the internet that proves this

and what I don't understand is how I can be using it with bare hands, wet or dry and my hands get no chemical burns....

anyway wanted to share, I guess keep away from kids

My kiddo used it and had no issues at all. I cleaned an entire apartment with that stuff very recently no issues. I wonder if this is one of those urban myths.

sounds like the kid shouldn't have been rubbing it on his skin, but I doubt it was chemical

it's like when I was in grade school, kids would rub a regular eraser on their skin until it hurt, it was called the "sissy test"

**ok I did more research it's just a highly abrasive product and should not be rubbed on the skin! DUH

I recommend Burt's Bees ResQ Ointment for skin that is wind burnt, or similar

Also an aloe vera plant, take the stem and squeeze out the juice

The article said the mom tried lotions, but most contain alcohol, another DUH!weirdface.gif

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are the absolute best! I swear by them to clean walls, and just about everything that has even a hint of a pourous surface. I have white appliances, and it makes keeping them immaculate VERY easy.

I definitely recommend them! They are up in my favorite household cleaning tools, right next to my swiffer duster's, which I also swear by!
