What kind of story do they want to tell thats so important that they gotta recast her??
Also they just blew their chance of ever getting Vanessa back because i've read more than once in more than one place that she said if they ever recast it she wouldn't ever come back to play her again!
Honestly they can afford Vanessa Marcil any more. She's hit that level where she's likely too expensive to get back. So if they want the character, they bring her back like this. Scarred by an ambulance explosion and this explains her new face. What the ultimate purpose for her is I'm not sure because I never caught Brenda time in GH. So your guess is probably better then mine.

She is going back to break up Carly and Jax. And personally while I loved Vanessa as Brenda I am not against a recast. Besides thats why she got burned on the Night shift show its so they can bring her back with a new face. Its nothing SO important but I dont care, I loved the character of Brenda.
And I agree about VM never coming back, that would be like Josh Duhamel going back to being Leo.
