Day ahead comments August 15

Pretty good episode with several highlights! The verdict, as well spoiled, is guilty and Michael gets bail for Phyllis until sentencing is announced. Brad has an obnoxious exchange with Phyllis in the break room. and my personal favourite, Victor lets Niki have it for her role in putting the mother of their granddaughter behind bars.

Victor goads Niki into admitting that her selfish motives for forcing Brad to go to the police were behind the whole mess - that is, she wanted revenge on Phyllis for her support of Neil and not her (Niki) on the Newman board. Victor states that he knew all along that this was always all about Niki, no lofty morality issue. Loved it! Bingo, Victor!

Noah freaks out at the news of Phyllis and Jack saves the day by explaining that Sharon had no choice but to testify against Phyllis. Then Jack tips his hand that he actually does blame Sharon for her testimony. (Sharon and Jack are beginning to unravel.)

Brad, that meddling piece of crap, tells Heather that Phyllis left town and had no intention of turning up for the verdict.

Nick tells Phyllis that he'll support her no matter what happens and she kisses him and they hug.

Next:

Sharon tells JAck's old campaign manager (Ben?) that she would never do anything to hurt her husband. He replies that he hopes that's true.

Michael tells Phyllis that the DA has it on good authority that she definitely tried to run. Phyllis wonders who could have told her that.

Doc explains to Colleen, Kevin and Jana that the surgery could be very risky. Jana asks if that means she could die.

YAH Victor...glad that someone in that damn family stood up for Phyllis. And while i do like Jack and Sharon (read an interview in SOW by their portrayers and it was really good) you know I look forward to the day Jack and Phyllis reunite. They seem to be a great power couple.

There are all sorts of little hints that Sharon and Jack aren't going to make it for very long. Today, especially! Watch for the scene after Jack calms Noah down, Noah leaves to get a soda from the fridge, and Jack says he was lying to Noah when he defended Sharon and her testimony. I think those two will be toast before Christmas.

yeah in the interview Sharon Case and PB both said how they hoped their characters would stay together because they enjoyed working together but that they didnt know, and the interview I think was done before the Nick kiss...so I agree with you about them splitting soon

I'm STILL waiting for my stove, stuck inside like a lump in front of the computer.....argh. All my work is done for the arrival of the house guests in about an hour.

I don't really mind who stays with who this time around. I like all the characters involved, all, that is, except Brad (big shock, huh) and lately I've been hoping for terrible things to happen to Niki, and I think they will since she ends up broke by the end of the week. Looks good on her, haha.

Katherine's new hard nose business sense kind of bugs me because for ages she didn't know her butt from page four in Chancellor Industries, and this heavy-handed thing she has going on with Ji Min and Jill is kind of out of left field as well. But I'm not going to gripe about this show, not really, lol.

Sharon Case and Peter Bergman do work well together - we can see that. I hope when they do split, it'll be a sad parting, not some big knock-em-down sort of thing like Brad and Victoria or Niki and Victor. I think they'll both come to see that they are still in love with their exes, kind of a sad realisation. Phyllis and Daniel sure do wreak havoc!

yeah I hope that when Jack and Sharon split that it is a mutual thing. I dont want to see either one of them hurt again. It would be nice to see them remain as friends like Jack and Nikki were for such a long time.

Yeah I dont care a whole lot who goes where but I think everyone knows that I wanted Jack and Phyllis. I like Nick better with Sharon too and always kind of thought of them as the new Victor and Nikki because they will probably forever split up and then get back together.

and yeah they should pair Brad with that cliff that Dru went over

Ack, the stove just arrived, they left it in the front hall and my friends are 15 minutes from here. The delivery men wouldn't take the old stove down to the street because it was still connected. Great. Just great. And I waited here all day, didn't get to the store for dinner stuff, now have to excuse myself while I go grocery shopping and our friends just drove 11 hours to visit us.

I won't be around very much for the next few days while Marie and Frank are here. Won't be able to watch my tapes of Asa's funeral either until they leave. Have fun, play nice, see you Monday.
