SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- Tuc Watkins will be pulling double duty on ABC this fall by appearing on both the daytime drama "One Life to Live" and the primetime serial "Desperate Housewives."
As SON previously reported, Tuc Watkins will be returning to "OLTL" for the third time this year. However we have just learned that Watkins has also been cast in a new role on the ABC Sunday night drama series "Desperate Housewives," which will be entering its fourth season this fall.
Watkins will portray one half of a gay couple that takes up residency on Wisteria Lane. Kevin Rahm (of the now cancelled drama series "Judging Amy") has been cast as Watkins' on-screen partner. While Rahm's character will portray bitchy partner Lee, Watkins will play Bob, who TVGuide.com describes as "a country mouse who leaves the big city for greener (and quieter) pastures."
The names of both new characters are in honor of ABC News reporter Bob Woodruff and his wife Lee, both of whom became good friends with "DH" creator Marc Cherry last fall. Both Watkins and Rahm's roles are recurring. In recent weeks internet rumors had surfaced claiming that soccer god David Beckham and British model Robbie Williams had been cast as Wisteria Lane's new gay couple. That rumor was dispelled at an Orange County Flyers baseball game last Saturday when "DH" stars James Denton and Teri Hatcher leaked the casting news to "Entertainment Tonight." Denton is part owner of the team.
Watkins originated the role of lovable conman David Vickers on "OLTL" in 1994. In 1992 he portrayed Reggie on a few episodes of "Santa Barbara." After leaving Llanview in 1996, he briefly joined "General Hospital" and played the recurring role of Dr. Pierce Dorman. He co-starred as Malcolm Laffley on the Showtime series "Beggers and Choosers" from 1999-2000. Watkins made brief returns to "OLTL" in 2001 and 2002, before returning full time from 2003 to November 2006 In 2005, Watkins appeared as David Vickers in two episodes of "All My Children" as part of a baby switch storyline which crossed over between the two soaps. In addition, he also briefly returned on two separate occasions earlier this year. His latest stay, which will begin in September, is rumored to last longer than his prior visits earlier this year. Watkins has also guest starred in shows such as "Melrose Place," "NYPD Blue," "Six Feet Under," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Growing Pains," and "Silk Stockings." He made his film debut as Mr. Burns in 1999's "The Mummy."
Rahm starred as Kyle McCarty in the CBS drama series "Judging Amy." He has also guest starred on "Jesse," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." A devout Mormon, Rahm served as a missionary in France, Switzerland, Mauritius and the Reunion Islands between 1990 and 1992. He received the Irene Ryan Award for best college actor in 1994, but dropped out two years later and moved to Hollywood hoping to break into acting.
Watkins will be in familiar company this fall when he joins the primetime soap. Former "OLTL" cast member Nathan Fillion who returned for the soap's 10,000 episode will portray Dr. Adam Luther. Fillion called "One Life" home from 1994-1997. Joining Fillion will be Dana Delaney, who will play his wife and former "Young and Restless" starlet Lyndsy Fonseca. Fillion and company will make their debut in the fifth episode of the new season, however no airdate for Watkins or Rahm has been released.

I actually dont mind that we wont be seeing much of David because while I often miss OLTL I never miss an episode of DH. My husband actually recognizes it now as my show.
