We drove to the northwest corner of town yesterday to take a look at this brand new marble temple built without a penny of mortgage for $40 million by local Hindus. It's kind of like a leggo building as all the carvings were done in India, shipped in over a period of time and assembled on site.
It's absolutely breath-taking in person.
The guys entered the sanctuary, but Marie and I only went into the lower level as we felt as if we were intruding, although visitors are welcomed and encouraged. Unfortunately, photos weren't allowed inside, but WOW, it's even more incredible in there. And the fragrance was beautiful, incense, I believe.
