Hey guys, whats on everyone else's plates for today. I start another semester again today. Thankfully I only have one class this first day and as it turns out doesnt start until 330, so I guess I have time to hit the gym. Which is certainly good.
We're helping Mike move this week. I have dishes to wrap up, sheets to sort through and get washed, ditto towels and odd curtains. The front hall is loaded up with boxes Mike had stashed in the guest room closet for a few years. Chaos. ugh.
Argh!! I just got back from having a sandwich lunch with Mike at a local cafe. He brought a car back after going to Ikea for a mattress and he announced that he'd thought about it and decided to leave all his boxes here instead of moving them all into his new apartment. Oh joy, lol.
Nick is out of the hospital now, I think. He said last night that he was waiting to see the doctor who was supposed to release him that day (they are 11 hours ahread of us here). He sounded rather annoyed that we called him again. Being a worried parent's a thankless job, eh? Pffft.
I've got OLTL on and can barely stand it. Talia has on a really gawdawful top, looks very tarty with all that makeup and lipstick on.
Y&R was just okay today. Phyllis got the full 6 years and a $10,000 fine.
Just what any parent wants, KaeEll -- MORE boxes to store!
I'm so glad that Nick is improving, and is going to be released. I tell my kids that they're just going to have to get used to the fact that I'm going to be worrying and fussing over them until I gasp my last gasp. Ask Nick if he would prefer the alternative: Total disinterest in any aspect of his life from his parents...
KaeEll -- I laughed at your comment about Talia. I hardly recognized her when she walked into the bar because of the way her hair was all done with curls, etc. I thought that she looked gorgeous! LOL...!!! I did begin to notice that she was a little overdone though, but realized from Antonio's comments that this was the point -- she was posing as a hooker.
I did like the way her hair was done, though...
Here's my normal practice when watching OLTL these days: 1. Tess/Nash. Fast forward. 2. Antonio. Fast forward. 3. Miles. Breaks finger trying to fast forward. 4. Natalie. Fast forward. 5. PodMarty. Fast forward (WHEN will they bring back Susan Haskell???) 6. Cole. Fast forward...
I'm pretty much down to watching Starr (sans Cole), Britney, Langston, Blair/Todd (although I fantasize that the scenes are between Kassie and RH), Dorian, Rex/Adrianna, Roxy (totally cracks me up), Viki, David Vickers (when he's on), Nora, Lindsay, Michael/Marcie/TJ, John (depends on who the scenes are with. Could find himself in the ff lane), Spencer (unless he's "talking" to Miles, and the fingers are in jeopardy again), and Nigel. Bo is acceptable again these days too, now that Paige has departed.

My soap-watching has really come down to Y&R and about 10 minutes of OLTL. Didn't even know Talia was posing as a hooker. I thought she was all tarted up for Antonio, lol.
Nick, Laura and friend, Mike, are all hanging out in a small resort town in Laos on a lake, Veng Vienne. His emails are terse and uninformative, except to say where they are and as far as I can tell, he hasn't updated his travel blog in weeks. I'm weary of this, cancelled our annual Labour Day picnic.
Moore, it's good to know that other mothers understand the pain we feel when kids become impatient with our concerns for them. They believe they are invincible, and we know that's not reality.
A 17 year old boy was found dead a couple of blocks from us Sunday. He had wandered off from a group of friends after a party and fell down a ravine. Alcohol was involved. It sticks in my heart like a knife. [url=http://www.insidetoronto.ca/News/Etobicoke/article/30658]
