I totally crashed my husband's pc!

So my monitor was acting weird and I was using my husband's pc, but it was running incredibly slow. I thought I'd do him a favour and take off all kind of games and old programs, but then when I rebooted I couldn't get it back up. I tried all his recovery disks and hit F1 and F10. It's just stuck

He'll probably have to rebuild it, which sucks because then he'll lose some files.

Jeez computers can be a pain sometimes!

Not necessarily. He can boot into safe mode by hitting F8 repeatedly and back up files. It may let him do that. But simply uninstalling some programs shouldn't have killed the PC.

Ok we'll try that first

I must have deleted an important windows file, because windows won't load it just hangs up on the screen that makes you think its coming up any minute..

Ok F8 worked for a moment, it said safe mode, but then did the same thing. It's hanging up on the Windows 98 screen. When I hit F10 it asks for a recovery disk
