Actually, I have several friends who are just like that, and it makes me crazy. I can't shop that early for people because I always have to mentally separate the different holidays, and birthdays along the way before I ever even begin to think about Christmas.
And, sad as it is to confess, if I buy something for someone too early, and stick it away, I usually end up forgetting that I have it, and wind up stumbling onto it several months AFTER Christmas, like sometime in mid-March! So sad...
Also, I like to know that I've seen "everything" first before I decide what to buy, and usually my family has last minute additions to their wish list.
Anyway, the bottom line is that there's absolutely NO WAY that I could be finished with my Christmas shopping before Labor Day. No way... I don't even want to TALK about it right now; I'm still trying to finish up what's left of my summer!

ACK!!! Don't even mention Christmas to me until the frost is already on the pumpkin. Thanks fer nuttin', Shelly. It's still summer in my book, and I'm denying winter even exists for now!
thats cute, and I hear ya about waiting til other things pass. But Christmas and Thanksgiving are the only times of the year where I usually get to see family. So I really look forward to it
I don't really think I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. I'm so far from all my family, and it's going to be hard to celebrate my first christmas away from them.
