AMC Confirms Havins's Exit, Names New Babe ALL MY CHILDREN has confirmed the imminent exit of Alexa Havins, who joined the show as Babe Carey in October 2003. Her final air date will be October 8, the same day the actress AMC has hired to replace her Amanda Baker, Jolene on GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT will make her debut. Explains a show rep, "[Havins's] Babe will hug Krystal and when they separate from the hug, it will be Amanda Baker [in] the role."
I guess this is cool since Jolene has turned out to be psycho
That's a quick change to a new cast. I always think a couple of weeks away is needed
It always bugged me when Jessica played by Erin left Llanview in an emotional goodbye only to return as Bree a day later. I think they could have given it more time. Although I did like Bree immediately.
I Remember her hair being shorter, and I don't think anyone every mentioned "Oh Jess, you got a nice hair cut in London" Those little details are nice to have.
Good call on that one...I know a lot of people were hoping she will leave town for a bit but oh well...Hopefully they wont rewrite the character too much
to be honest i've never cared if the recast looked much, if anything, like the last actor. the only time it bothered me was when GH cast billy warlock as AJ. sean kanan & steve burton looked like RL brothers. i never adjusted to BW being in that role. never!
i actually think the change over will be a fun soap opera moment.
