lost everything on my pc!

I was entering a contest/sweepstakes and then my computer locked up the screen went kind of gray. Then I rebooted cuz I could not longer click on anything. When my pc came back up, I had lost my user account and all my pictures, documents and favorite. Luckily I have this site bookmarked under google!

I hope my husband can get this stuff back. He finally got his pc going!

the contest was for Brach's Bee Movie....



OK big relief I found everything under Administrator, but my user profile and my husband's are both gone.... weird huh!

Everything about computers baffles me, so I'm of no help at all to you, Tina.

I do know, though, that some websites are evil and can cause all kinds of annoying things to happen to your computer.

It could have been the cyber-gods telling you not to enter that contest. ;)

I just spent the entire hour getting my pics uploaded to shutterfly, didnt' realize how behind I was

and I backed up stuff to my memory stick

Christine, be careful. Like, Kae said, there are bad sites out there. It's possible that site could have unleased a virus onto your computer.
