The Y&R epi that recapped this morning was actually Wednesday, Spetember 12th's. Don't know why. My local station is now airing the day ahead that the NTV (my 11 a.m. Y&R from Newfoundland) station should have. Somebody goofed.
Today here I'll just fill in the blanks for us.
Jack, Sharon, then Niki and David, then Kay, Cane and Jill reel about the Ji Min tape. Jack thinks Victor must have sent the tape out, is convinced it had to be him.
Nick's back from a business trip, Sharon and Jack ask him to take Noah for the night - important to them. Nick says sure, senses something's afoot with Jack and Sharon.
Jack and Nick snipe at each other over moral compasses, lies, their wives and cover-ups. Youch from both!
Mike tells Lauren about how Nick was barred from any future Phyllis visits, blames himself for allowing Nick to pretend to be his co-counsel.
Long Noah and Nick scene - kid asks lots of questions about Jack, Phyllis and what's going on.
Niki calls Jack and pulls her high and mighty routine with him over the tape. Jack shuts her up with a good snipe. Ha! Then Niki confronts Victor - did he release that tape to the press? He denies it. She wishes him a happy anniversary. Victor grunts, "oh that".
Lauren visits Noah and Nick with cupcakes and smiles. Kid's fixated on taking pictures for Phyllis.
Karen tells Victor that the Clear Springs bad news is all over the internet. He tells her to get on "it" right away. She goes off to see legal. Clear Springs is in default.
Michael stops by, sees Kay, Niki and Victoria. Kay insists that she believes the tape is a complete hoax, will make that statement to the press. Mike and Niki think it's a bad idea, it'll come back to bite her in the butt.
Jack's attorney tells him that the tape won't be a problem - not from a substantiated source. Sharon's angry about Jack's attitude - seems to have forgotten that a man is dead over all this. Meanwhile, Jill feels guilty for having stirred this all up in the first place.
Victor and Neil talk briefly about how they are the only 2 who know about Victor's drilling rights for Clear Springs.
Nick tells Lauren that Sharon is sucked in by all of Jack's lies. Back at the Abbotts', Sharon pleads with Jack to tell the truth. He asks her why she wants him to do this. She says because she wants to look up to him, but don't do this for Noah or for her, do it for himself. If he lies again and gets caught, his reputation and his career will be over.
Lauren babysits for Summer and Noah while Nick makes an appointment to go speak to Sharon.
Jack appeals to Niki and Kay that they all stay on the same side in front of the press. Kay sees Jack's point, Niki's just pissy and snotty about it.
Nick tells Sharon that until this Jabot tape stuff blows over, he doesn't want Noah living there (at the Abbott house).
Nick and Sharon argue over where Noah will stay. Sharon says the living arrangement holds.
Press conference: Jack calls the tape a fake, denies everything, calls it slander. Sharon is at his side. Niki takes the mike, praises Ji Min, calls him a man of his word and the tape allegations are ridiculous. Kay takes the stand, substantiates Jack and Niki's statements.
Victor is amused as he watches the press conference on his TV.
Just as Lauren and Michael are about to take a room at GCAC, she gets a call from her mother who broke her hip. Lauren promises to fly out there right away.
Sharon is disappointed in Jack for not discussing with her first what he was going to say.
Victor gloats to Jack about the whole mess, says he's heard that the ethics committee is going to investigate his questionable conduct.
