The Gap

The Gap has some really adorable little girl dresses, but they're not on sale yet!

I think I'll go to Target now, have to buy a b-day gift for Gabi's BF

What are you all up to?

I just finished a new book, so I am going to go search for the next one in the series. Hopefully at least one of them is out. I dont have school until 330 so I have the rest of the day to myself. I am a bit cold so I think I am going to take a warm shower and maybe a nap. Why not huh

We have Bethany's first Parent Committee meeting for pre-k. I'm so psyched. I never got to do this stuff for Cody. Then we have tumbling/tap/ballet for sis, and Cody has soccer practice. So that's about all for us.

I was cleaning silver in the kitchen and had Y&R on, then got drawn into the story and sat down in front of the TV to watch and recap. Gah! It was a really, really good episode! I wish you all watched it too. It makes OLTL look like a heaving stinky pile of crap, honestly!

My d-i-l's mother shops (in Newton, Mass) at a Gap warehouse place all the time. She's here now with her daughter since my son's in NY for the week (and d-i-l is 8 months pregnant), arrived with her car completely loaded down with newborn boy things, all from the Gap clear-out store. She said she pays about 30 cents on the dollar there.

Tina, there has to be a Gap warehouse near you, non? Chicago's a much bigger metropolis than Boston isn't it?

Kae your DIL is already 8 months pregnant, holy crap it seems like you just told us a couple weeks ago. My goodness how time flies. And thanks for the heads up about Y&R, I will be sure to record it

I know, Shelly! Thee time has been flying by like mad. She's due November 1.

I've been trying to get my little granddaughter to spill to me the name for the new baby boy and she either doesn't know, or they have trained her not to tell her Nanny anything, lol. They had one name picked out, all happy with it, then on a trip to the park playground, d-i-l found three little boys with that name, so they changed it. How can they keep such a big secret from their precious Nanny, the freebie babysitter?? Humph!

Honestly, Shelly - do not miss your Thursday episode - it was really a good one today, best I've seen in ages. Y&R hardly ever comes out with dud epi's but they do from time to time. Today wasn't one of them. You'll LOVE Jack.

There might be a gap outlet not so far from here, but they usually only mark down the last season's stuff. In fact that outlet mall is not so great for bargains really. I'll do a search for a gap warehouse, maybe that is different.

I should try Y&R. I'll have to find the local station time for this area.

Oh, please do start watching, Tina. Shelly and I could do with another Y&R fan around here. You won't be disappointed, I promise. And I'd be happy to bring you up to date on anything that baffles you (if I can).

Y&R isn't perfect, don't get me wrong here. It's just a soap opera with all kinds of flaws just like the rest. But they have amazing actors in it, some crappy ones, but not an overload. And the writing team TRIES to keep it interesting. As far as I know, there's no Brian Frons-type moron flapping his gums about all the wonderful ideas coming down the pike that turn out to be rehashed drivel. There's good balance in the front-burner stories, good use of all age groups, light on the kiddie stories (I hated that little kid Abby, not at all fond of the Noah stuff either), and generally is very enjoyable. Like I said, for the most part, it makes OLTL look like a mouldering pile of you know what.

I agree that Y&R isnt perfect, but even with this shoddy new writer (LML) its still better then any ABC show...including GH. I will definitely watch tomorrow, I always LOVE Jack and just wish for a minute that he will come out on top. Love that Phyllis is standing by her friend

KaeEll, It is truly a small world..... I drive through Newton every day going to work. I work in Watertown, which is next to Newton, and Newton is the exit from the Mass Pike.

Could you find out where the outlet is? I know that there is one at the Wrentham Mall, but that is about 30 miles from Newton.

I have 13 nieces and nephews, and I love the gap for kids. I have an absolutely adorable five-year-old god-child that I love to spoil with little girl clothes.

I only have another 1.5 weeks going through Newton, before I make my transition to my new job in Lexington, MA.
