Hallelujah! Just when we thought OLTL couldnt get any better, it does! Our prayers have been answered and that hack Christina Chambers (Marty) has finally been fired! Unfortunately, we cant set a date for our see-ya-later party just yet, because her last air date has yet to be determined, but insiders suggest it may take a couple more months of torture. An ABC source tells TV Guide, You can expect Susan Haskell back [in her Emmy-winning role]. Thats a definite. Marty and John are moving full-steam ahead. In other fantastic casting news, the lovely and talented Pamela Payton-Wright (Addie) will be trying to seduce Lindsay at St. Anns during their stay in the next few weeks. Teehee

Brandon, I nearly flipped when I read that too! I don't read much of the TV Guide's soap news, but this is the first time I remember such infamatory talk about an actress.

Anyway, I disagree that CC is a hack. I think she's an acceptable actress, just not a good Marty. She was written as a sappy victim and the Marty we all knew would never have let Miles get to her the way THAT was written. Dena, I assume, did that.

I never thought Andrea would come back.

And Susan as Marty as well.

Hope the story lines will be really great.

And what do they mean Addie is going to seduce Lindsay? That's creepy

Tina, if you notice, the article is very badly written with lots of grammatical errors and punctuation mistakes. From that I gather that the writer used "seduce" improperly as well. The writer probably meant "chat up" or "torment", well just about anything other than seduce.

My guess is that the writer will be quickly fired, lol. TV Guide isn't the NY Times, but it still needs to have a semblance of decent writing.

I'm surprised that the editors let that go to press like that. And I agree with you guys about Christina Chambers. Shes not bad, she just isnt Marty. It would be interesting to see Tina back.

I grew to like Christina Chambers and never thought of her as "the" Marty. It was like she was just a new person in town. She could be someone's sister or something, but not Marty

Ouch that was one mean article. i can't believe they printed something so scathing. I really feel for Chambers she did the best she could with what she had been given.

okay, i can't find either of these items on the tv guide site. i read somewhere that the site that posted these quotes is extremely unreliable. can someone link directly to this info on tv guide. also i'd read awhile ago that the TVG writer who used to do soap news & was never replaced. they haven't posted spoilers/interviews in quite a bit.

if you believe the andrea evens blurb pay close attention to the wording....will return SOMEDAY. last raven had to say on this AE is committed to fulfilling her contract w/passions so if she does jump it won't be for a while.
