did you see it, everyone was shocked. The judges were disapointed. As far as I am concerned this is no longer a dancing contest, its a popularity contest. Neither Sabrina or Cameron deserved to be in the bottom two. Makes no sense.
Sabrina was on the View this morning, danced the cha cha with her partner from DWTS, then cried as Carrie Ann (guest host) greeted her. She really was devastated that she lost. Screwy show, non?
I felt so bad for sabrina, her and her partner were awesome, although I felt she had a bit of an edge on the other dancers since she had to learn all those hip hop routines. what do you think?
I think she should have taken it to the very end. She was the best dancer IMO. But these shows that depend upon audience votes are all screwy when it comes to choosing the best in whatever, no doubt about it.
Years ago, when American Idol was first introduced (my husband LOVES that show for some reason), I used to check in daily on the website and follow the onliners yapping about their favourites and so on. It never failed to amaze me how invested the fans were in their idol contestants, not terrible unlike the fanatic soap fans were during, say, the "Jowars".
If DWTS has anything like that either online or off, it doesn't surprise me that such a dumb choice was made. Carrie Ann said today on The View that she felt people voted for underdogs because they thought they needed the votes, and not for who they actually deemed best. She suggested that viewers ought to rethink that strategy (in so many words).
I guess we only need one word here to describe what happened - Sanjaya (spelling??).
I think Carrie Ann was right. I really did think that Sabrina could have won. Not so sure that she had an advantage because of the hip hop dancing because the two styles really are quite different. She tried using what she knew about hip hop in the first dance and got disciplined for it
