Well, here we are at the first weekend of November. Here in Massachusetts our weather is forecasting a dismal weather day. We are getting the remnants of a hurricane, so it will be wet and windy. On the positive side, it should blow most of the leaves off of the trees, so hopefully I can get some serious leaf removal done. With fall being so weird, it has been a long protracted leaf removal process. Thank goodness the acorns appear to be done falling. I have had a bumper crop this year, and I have been outside on five weekends removing the darn things. I even managed to get dinged on the head a couple of times while in the process of trying to get them off of the lawn. I swear that I would have had a front lawn completely covered in the things if I had not kept on top of it.
I am hoping that with the rain forecasted that I do not get water in the basement. But, on the bright side I spent last Saturday seriously cleaning it out and getting the lawn stuff put away, so at least it's organized, and a good bit of the floor is accessible. My brother-in-law also installed a new door down there for me, so I am really ready for the winter.
Sabrina and I are off for a spa day. She starts her new job on Monday, so I am treating her to a day of pampering and a new hair style and color. I am getting a massage, facial and the works for my hair. We are going out to dinner afterwards, at our favorite restaurant. She's then returning to New Hampshire, and I am going to my sister's house for a girls night. Today is going to be a very busy day!
I am planning on a slacker Sunday, with some serious play time for the dogs and I. I already placed my grocery order, and that is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, some time between 10:00 and 12:00.
I am really looking forward to tomorrows Patriots game, they are playing the Colts, so it should be a great game.
Well my weekend just brightened immensely. I checked the disbursement web site and found that much to my surprise, we are getting child support, but it was just a little delayed. We should have the money by Tuesday at the latest. So our weekend at the movies will be changed to our Monday at the movies since her is no school.
My step brother is coming to get Cody so they can hang out. He just got back from Ghana on Tuesday and we're so happy because last time he had Malaria when he came home, this time thanks to those wonderful suppressant pills, no Malaria. Thank goodness there!
Oh Oh Oh big big news... I got another photography client. Next weekend I am doing family pictures for a friend of the husband's. Her kids are total hellions, so instead of having them come to the house to use the make shift studio in the basement, I talked to the local bed&breakfast to use some of their outdoor settings. I figure outside is safest with those kids lol. I've also got the ok to do some pics in the Dance Factory. I figured the barre would be cute for a picture of their daughter. Wish me luck guys!!!
I dont ususally like football either Kae, I guess it only took three years of being married to an avid watcher for me to look forward to a game. That and Tom Brady is just so darn good looking.
We have tons to do today but after busting our chops to get the house moved the past 2 days we are both tired and are using the bad weather (same hurricane rain as Sophia) as an excuse for taking it easy. Honestly we have til the 12th to be out of the other house and have it cleaned. I think we are in good shape. All we have left to move is a few boxes of Jolene's and the clothes hanging in her closet, not something I am willing to do in the rain anyways.
So Happy Saturday everyone. I think I may turn on a movie and relax for whats left of my Saturday afternoon.
