Tina, your insurance should cover the diamond, so get on the phone with your broker asap! And just as a word of caution, if you have had your ring checked and the setting tightened up recently, send the receipt to the insurance people, just in case they try to give you the runaround.
You can vacuum the floor like crazy, then sift through the vacuum bag - always a fun task. I helped a friend with the same thing that way, and she found it!
Did you order in Chinese from a place that uses MSG? That for sure could have caused the allergic reaction.
I have ordered from that Chinese place before, but not the Chicken and Broccoli, So I hope that's it.
I called my insurance and at first they said the ring wasn't covered and I got upset because I had added it personally. Well then they found a "blanket" coverage for jewelry.
Then I tried the jewelry store. They have a warrantly but you have to go every 6 months.
Well guess how long it had been - 7 months.
So I forged someone's initials, because I used to work in Jewelry and nobody pays attention to a date and initials. Or so I hope.
They agreed to send it to the home office to be replaced..... so everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.
I put homeowners on hold for now
My husband is going to use the shop vac tonight. And I've been tearing thru everything.
I'm torn between getting my ring fixed and getting a check with which I would buy something different.
Every morning for the past three, I've gotten this rash. It tends to go away through the day. Because when I was at the doctor, I had nothing to show her!
It started before I even woke up today, I felt my foot start to itch
I'm taking Benadryl, but it's really driving me nuts, plus I still have this cough! I'm on an antibiotic now for that.
Tina, there is a cream by Origins called Ginger Souffle that has been wonderful for itchiness for me. It's not all that easy to find, but I'll search for you, see where you can buy it in your area.
If it were me, I'd stop the benadryl right away as all it does is suppress the cause of the itch and the rash. The topical stuff soothes it. Ditto for cortisone, should you be tempted to resort to that. Just my experience.
Okay, found it! Nordstrom's carries it, and you can order it online from several delivery services, too. Once you've tried it, you won't ever want to be without it. My husband loves it as well, smells divine and really moisturises beautifully. Be careful to get the original and not the extra rich version as it's too heavy and goopy.
Did your doctor run any tests even though she/he couldnt see any rash? You could probably even do the allergy test thing that they do. I hope the cream Kae suggested does the trick, sounds miserable
One mom at ballet said that her child gets this when they have a cold virus type thing, it's the body's way of fighting. And since I've considered what I could be using, and have nothing new I'm going to see if it goes away when the cold goes away
I will try the cortisone that's a good idea!
I broke out like this once before, the night before I was flying out. So I think it has something to do stress?
And it's so short lived, It comes every morning like a wave and then goes away by afternoon!
I'll have to try that Nordstrom cream, that sounds nice!
