So what is everyone up to today? Im not doing much, last minute crunch to get my paper done. Thats it. Hopefully the hotel will call me sooner rather then later.

More phone calls for my parents who manage to make things far more complicated than they could be, then a trip to the dreaded shopping mall, and the cleaning lady is coming some time this morning, although I never know when to expect her.

I'm really upset because Nick (son in Oz) sent me an e mail that he's probably going to stay there until April now. He was originally going to be back for Christmas, then he pushed it into February, and now April, a whole year away. Actuallly, a whole year and three weeks. That news pretty much ruined my day.

Argh! Back from the mall and what a zoo it was, but I got the baby swing from Babies r Us, and took hub to the subway and Maria is vacuuming up a storm upstairs so I'm down here on hub's computer which I don't really like, lol.

Anyway, thanks Jess and Shelly. I never know what will happen with those kids so far away. Sure he might change his mind, and I hope he does. But there's no way I could leave here to go visit in Oz. Every day, it seems, there's some kind of crisis with my parents and I have to stick around to manage their household, such as it is. Like this morning I had to reorgnise the business with Veterans Affairs because my parents went ahead and hired more help when I had already made those arrangements, and they forgot it. What a pain in the neck. Now my father is getting as dotty as my mother.

Oh no. My grandma is on a similar road. I love her to death but she'll show up at our house at 11 at night sometimes to chat even though we were all in bed. Then the other day she showed up in the pouring rain honked for me to come out. I thought something was wrong when I got out there she just wanted to talk. I had to remind her that I had 2 little ones that can't be left alone in the house.
