Hey guys. What is everyone up to today. We are in the middle of our first real winter storm so me and Jolene are just hanging around the house. Was watching OLTL but they cut in to talk about the steroids and baseball. Uck.
Anyways, I think today will be a good day for a long nap. Vinnie doesn't really want me to drive. Its coming down really wet now. Yucky.
Aw, sorry 'bout all the winter storm stuff. Poor Jolene, I know how kids hate to be cooped up in side! Do you guys have cookies to bake, games to play, etc? I love baking cookies with Jackson and playing Candy Land when we're stuck inside! And stay there! Don't get out on the roads unless you have to!
It's snowing like mad here too. I just got back from an insane trip to the regional shopping mall, spent more time following people with packages to their cars to find a parking place than I did inside the damn mall. And then I look around at all these people with all their loot and wonder what on earth they're going to do with it all. They spend a fortune on whatever and still look like your ordinary galoot schlepping around in galoshes, lugging their parkas and little kids squawking and screaming.... . Nuts.
So I made myself a nice cup of tea and will pop on my Y&R recording in a sec. Was OLTL any good today?
OLTL was not great. Not as bad as it could be. But that new detective guy from the FBI annoys me. There were some good scenes between Cole and Langston. I kinda think they are a better match, look closer in age anyways.
Miles woke up sort of, John said he shot Miles. Stupidness all around.
GAH! 2:50a on friday & i've been up for 2 1/2 hrs already. dialysis day so it doesn't bode well for any kind of productivity lol.
sarah & i are trying to figure out how to get the christmas baking done. we usually do it christmas eve morning, but that is a dialysis day for me & since she's working as a santa's helper at the mall (you know, the endless lines for pics w/santa) it's a sure bet she'll be putting in a very full day. i'm thinking sunday morning will be a better option lol.

It does sound like Sunday will be much more feasible. I hate to hear you'll be doing dialysis on Christmas Eve. I know this will just be a yucky memory on which you can look back and have a little chuckle one day and think to yourself how much stronger you are because of it.
I think I'm going to try my hand at some home made egg nog. I saw the recipe on Emeril a few days ago and thought ... "I should do that". So it'll either drive me bonkers or I'll be a happy happy girl. Wish me luck lol.
