Ok so the hubby's got a friend at work, who just found out her boyfriend has been cheating on her for quite a while. The pain in the ass is that she has his cell phone in her name and found pics of some girl ... well lets just say it was a bad bad video on his phone ... technically hers if you want to think of it as in who owns the line. He has been driving to meet the girl in the truck that she helped him get (it's in her name but he makes the payments). So apparently I'm supposed to help her get into a better mood. Lol I guess the hubby thought that I handled things well when he crushed me in a similar way.
Anyways, I am actually full of helpful advice for her. I think most importantly I'm going to tell her to just be selfish. To go out get herself a new outfit and a make-over, then treat herself to lunch at her favorite place with a drink afterwards.
Anyways this all made me wonder ... what's your advice or what works for you in these situations.
Also what are the best break up songs and songs for moving on .. and getting over him or what not.
I think the song survivor by Destiny's Child helps lol crank it as loud as you can and sing it out lol. Oh and it's a bad title but a good song for getting over someone ... F*^k you Richt Back by Frankie ... yeah it's mean but it gets the expression out lol.
No help in the song department, but that girl needs to do two things fast. Get the registration of the truck transferred into his name or repo it herself, and secondly she needs to cancel the cell phone.
If she lives with him, kick him out or move herself, but if she's lucky, they have separate addresses. I don't know what the laws are there but here, if you cohabit for 2 years, you are considered common-law and all that becomes much more complicated.
But clearly, she needs to break it all off with this slime right away. I think all the busy work she'll need to begin will help her feel better. If she's in a position to write off her financial contributions to this idiot's life-style, all the better. That will stick with her as a reminder to stay away from losers that can't manage to pay their own way in the future.
Im with Kae on this one, sounds like she may have a new truck...and by cancelling the phone she may have to pay a bad fee but it would be cheaper then paying for the bill of another phone.

OH yeah I forgot about that one Shelley. See lucky for her she works at AT&T so the account is her employee account and doesn't have a contract. Yay lol. Second they have only lived together for a year. So good news there. Unfortunately, there is a little girl involved, so she doesn't want to break her heart and do this before Christmas. She is however taking back the HDTV, PS3 and mp3 player she got him for Christmas. I think he's getting socks and a box of extra small condoms for Christmas. We're actually looking for a house for her down around us. She wants a clean start in a new place where she has good friends. I've actually formed a good friendship with her over the course of today through text messages. We've decided that we'll be walking buddies. I've been searching for one for a while.
I feel for the girl. She's holding it all back for the sake of the little girl. Luckily she's become friends with the little girl's mother during her relationship with mr. slime. So when she does break up with him after Christmas, she'll get to continue her friendship/relationship with the little girl. We're going to go sometime this week and get some spa treatment, and she is picking up some flowers for herself on her way home. It's always good to pamper one's self lol.
We'll just have to keep her up in our prayers and thoughts to help her tough out the next few weeks. He has no clue that she knows what's up. So luckily there is no arguing or anything in front of his daughter. She's just going to keep treating herself like a queen to help get through until after Christmas.
