well I was going to leave tomorrow but while I am there I am doing a favor for a friend who no longer lives there and she sent me paperwork for it and it was sposed to be here today. Well now it wont get here til Wednesday. Argh.
And my in laws live in Michigan. And thankfully for that part of the trip my husband will be doing most of the driving.
It is brutally cold here in Massachusetts. I can't believe that we have a few feet of snow and it is only December 17th. I don't think that we have to wonder if it will be a white Christmas up here!
I can't blame ya for hating the the cold. Cold is bad. Just another four letter word along with f--k and s--t and snow! Yeah you heard me, snow is a bad word!

yeah, I hate cold too. But I am from Phoenix. We are not accustomed to this kind of weather. And I was bad, I didn't shovel when I should have and now its ice. So I am stuck. Makes me glad that I didn't buy that smaller car when I wanted to pay less for gas. At least in the Durango I can get in and out of my driveway even with the pile of snow at the end of it.
When we were all skiing every weekend we used to cheer a heavy snowfall, like it was manna from heaven. Now it's just something else to shovel (like doggie do in the summer). It's the driving on it that bothers me more than anything, though. Drivers here are pretty good for the most part, but it only takes one reckless dolt and there's a pile-up.
When we lived in California, we rented a chalet at Lake Tahoe (near Truckee) and drove up there every Friday night from San Fransisco so we could ski. Now those drivers were pathetic! Once we'd get to Donner Pass, there were always idiots off in the ditches. You really need a separate set of rules for driving in snow, non?
You guys are going to hate me but I love the snow. I don't mind getting out there and shoveling it then having a snowball fight with the kids. In fact that's my favorite thing in the world. Floyd kept Aiden inside Sunday and after our church Christmas party I went out and played with the kids.s We came back in like little Davis family popsicles but it was so fun. I fell and busted my butt like 3 times and I can't remember laughing so much in a long time.
I wouldnt mind the snow if it was snow, but here our snow is ice. So we can't play in it. I guess cause we live right off the coast we get ice storms instead of snowstorms.
If I could wave my magic wand, I would have a beautiful snow fall the week before Christmas, and it would never become slushy. Naturally, there would be a fresh snowfall on Christmas Eve, and it would all remain perfectly white through January 2nd. During that time, the roads would be clear.
On January 2nd, all the snow would completely melt, and we would go directly into spring.
