Hi Everyone! I'm a little chipper, since I've FINALLY moved into my apartment. The only downside is that the carpets were not cleaned like they were supposed to be Friday. The carpet cleaning lady showed up today, saw that I moved in, then promptly left. What? I'm def giving the apt lady a call Monday morning to get her to get that lady back out here this week. I have most of my stuff in here, as I didn't have anywhere to put it, and I don't care if it takes three days to clean. My carpet is going to get cleaned. HMMPH.
So how is everyone this wintry day? We had some snow this morning, which has me putting off getting the other totes out of my car, but it's melting now.
Congratulations on moving into your apartment, Jodi! Yay!! As for those carpets, look at it this way - Santa can make a sooty mess and it'll get cleaned up!
We woke up to a basement flood today - a bad one. Which is really crappy considering we spent a small fortune getting the exterior waterproofed a couple of years ago, then installed new wood flooring in Nick's zone. Ted is so upset, he can barely speak. Mike rushed over to help dry-vac and all that fun stuff, but Nick lost several books, and electronic equipment. I'll call the insurance guy tomorrow.
All presents are wrapped, all shopping done, so I'm ready. Tomorrow morning is cooking yams and making the turkey stuffing, then we all meet at my parents' for an early dinner.
Holy crap, a flooded basement is not a merry christmas! I hope you can get it fixed through the insurance. But some things can't be replaced. I'm so sorry that happened today!
Tina, I'm going to run a vacuum over the carpet tonight, but I won't feel completely satisfied until they are deep cleaned. Is Zach feeling better!
And good way to look at the dirty carpet situation, LOL. I won't have to worry about the mess Santa makes!
I'm so sorry to hear about your basement!!! We finished our shopping up today. I made a batch of home made chex mix, and some peanut butter cookies with caramel filled kisses on top. We wrapped pretty much everything we planned on wrapping. A lot of things were oddly shaped and things I plan just to leave out for them to open like Bethany is getting a Tinkerbell tent for inside. So we're going to put it together for her and leave it out.
Anyways at church we had a Birthday Party for Jesus Christ. It was lots of fun!!!
