Hi little troop! What's on everybody's agenda for the day? Is everyone out running around today or taking it easy?
I'm printing up some cards for my friend Marilyn who is leaving soon on a two month holiday in New Zealand and Australia on a "Waltzing Mathilda" tour. She promised me that she'd check up on my Nick when she breezes through Gold Coast in March.
Looks like the down under fever has caught up with my generation now. Gah!
After that, it's soap time, dinner, and an evening with friends.
I had a meeting today to discuss an internship at a local Howard Johnsons and I start next wednesday. YAH..Other then that, not doing much of anything. Finally got a good night sleep last night so I am finally not tired, thank goodness.
We have to take Bethany to the dentist today. Can you believe it.. the one who actually brushes her teeth has ended up with a cavity? ON top of it all she's only 3.. i am so freaking out.
Juice is one of the worst sugar sources for children. Tina, try getting some 'red" juice, like cranberry or grape blends, then water it down by 2/3. The glass will still look like it has the coloured juice in it, but it will be far less sugary and much better for Gabi. I do that with Vanessa all the time, and now she won't even drink plain juice as she says it's "too strong". It might take Gabi a couple of weeks to get used to it, but she will.
I give Jolene just enough juice to make the water not taste like water, and she likes it fine. Actually she has been drinking a lot of my tea. Its decaf and has no sugar so I dont see the harm. I need to get her to the dentist
Shelly, check out the paediatrics dentists in town. We found one for Vanessa and she really likes going there. The decor is all kid-friendly and the practitioners allegedly like kids. There's nothing worse than putting the fear of god into a little one just to have their teeth looked at.
Vanessa's dentist has a Saturday "party" a few times a year for the little patients so they feel like they're going to a club or play group. Marketing, eh?

I will second this! We went through hell with my oldest daughter who pitched major fits whenever it was dentist time (paybacks for what my own poor parents went through with me), until we finally connected with a pediatric dentist. All three of my kids stayed with this guy, through braces and everything! It was an entirely different experience...

yeah, I have to find one on the tri care list. We found a few I just need to check them out
EW. I almost hate Tri-Care. It's been such a pain to deal with since Jackson's had it. One of the problems is living in Wyoming. All the pcm's are an hour or more away. HMMPH.
