Victoria opens her eyes, the case against Victor is dropped because of lack of evidence (although he still believes Jack is behind the frame-up), Phyllis encourages Nick to start a new business project with her, and Kay's doctor orders her to the hospital for a series of test. He thinks she might have had a mini-stroke as a warning sign, wants to treat it if so. Oh, and Heather breaks down crying when her boss comes in and yells at her that he has to drop the case, then she yells at Paul that it's all his fault that her life is falling apart. (Okay, then, lol.)
Looks like JT will move into the Newman ranch to be near Victoria and Reed who is now at home with his mother.
The stroke isn't a big deal. Kay and Amber are sitting talking and Kay basically just passes out, then comes to in a minute or so. But Kay wants Amber to keep quiet about her condition, and this is going to play into the conflict with Jill, who has declared war on Amber after her Marina stunt, lol. So Kay and Amber will remain close and Jill will want her banished from their lives. Kinda ho hum on that story.
Oh, and another thing that had me kind of going HUH? today was Lily's lies about how she and Cane aren't an item, just friends. Why bother lying when everybody can see how totally ga-ga she is over him, and how much Cane wants to get her into the sack. Silly waste of energy, but I guess it qualifies as soapy.
Sooooo - whatcha think of Daniel's new hair-do? I don't mind it, but it does make him look a tiny bit fem. (I remember when my Nick went through the hair colour stage and he dyed it everything you can imagine. It was green at one point, but that was an accident.)
Oh! I forgot to mention that Gloria has new highlights in her hair that make her look like a spider. Very funny!
I don't dislike Amber either, but I do think her schemes to get Cane back are kind of silly. She'd be better off just getting on with life and maybe then he'd remember why he fell for her in the first place.

Insidentally, I belong to a Support Sabine Singh website and we are trying to think of roles that she could play on other shows. Can you think of something she could do on Y&R? Either a recast or a whole new character. You heard about Elizabeth Hendrickson, she got a role on Y&R (she use to be Maggie on AMC btw)

Yeah, I read that about EH. Good! I also read an article that said the writers' strike was sending many of the old soap actors back into daytime. They have mortgages, bills to pay, and the work's not out there for them in prime time or movies. Could the strike be a good thing for daytime in the long run??
Ack, I just realised that MacKenzie and Cane are blood relatives. No romance there, LOL! No kissin' cousins again for that poor girl!
You remember Tricia, the girl who killed Ryan. They could bring her back, but I think that might be another doomed character. They could bring her on as a new character for Cane. Maybe a woman from Australia.
It would be funny to watch an American girl struggling to sound Australian when they already have an Aussie trying to sound American (Colleen). But hey, if it works, it works.
That reminds me, did I read somewhere that the actress who played Tricia IS coming back to Y&R?
