Hey guys, I won't be on here long just wanted to pop in and say hello and to post a new prayer request. A good friend of mine from church went into labor last night and she is only 28 weeks. So she needs all the prayers she can get. Thanks
well I guess baby is doing okay. She was already 2 pounds and they named her Caroline. Mom is already home which really stinks because I guess baby is at Yale University Hospital which is definitely not close to Groton. But I guess all of her kids were early so she was kind of expecting it. I just can't imagine, thats like 3 months early.
Anyways, I am getting ready to go to the gym I actually have a gym date.
It's pretty amazing what can be done for such tiny babies now, isn't it?
Will there be some housing near the baby offered to the mom so she won't have a long drive every day? It's really a lot to expect of your friend to make that drive every day or stay in a hotel at her expense and then have to hire sitters for her other little one too. Or is that a stupid question?
I don't know, to be honest it didnt make a lot of sense that she would leave her baby so far away. So I must be missing details. I hope that she is able to get something closer because thats nuts
My guess is that it was the best place and insurance probably had a lot to do with it as well. Has she looked into Ronald Mcdonald housing. Brit was 2 months too old ot qualify for that.
I'm drawing a blank on the correct terminology here, but preemies as small as 28 weeks have to have specific and special facilities and not all hospitals have them. Your friend probably didn't have a choice in where the baby went.
yeah, well we are talking about a military family here so there is no telling what they qualify for. I kind of wonder if they like flew her down there, I have no idea. I seriously doubt we will be seeing them for church on Sunday
