I'm in and out today, an appointment that is supposed to happen at 1:30 is pending my dad finding mother's hearing aid (audiologist again), husband working from home all morning.
We got a good dusting of the white stuff last night and this morning, so the roads, which had started to melt, are re-covered in wintry goodness. BLAH.
we had ballet, then my neighbor came over for a visit. I really need to hit the grocery store, but this weather is so BLAH!
I had to shovel myself out of my driveway again, the snowplow really loves to leave it right at the end of my driveway. I had to drive really fast to back all the way out without getting stuck to get Zach to school, then came home and shoveled. Well I suppose I needed the exercise.
No dentist for me today. The fog has rolled in and it is very thick. Not to metion my grandma didn't get here until about 1:30 and my appt was at 2 and was about 45 min away.
Tina, I had a long ago arranged lunch date with my friend that lives out in Bolton (a bedroom community 45 minutes away), but I had to reschedule at the last minute because my father wanted me to take my mother, yet again, to her audiologist to tweak her hearing aid. So I called Janice and rescheduled for the 18th. Hard, because she's really busy with work.
But my mother LOST her hearing aid AGAIN - it's one of those timy things that are about the size of a thumb nail. Father was confident the cleaning lady would find it, but by an hour before the 1:30 appointment it was still missing. So I cancelled the appointment and it was too late to reorganise the lunch with my friend.
Then, Tony had my car. He needed a car because theirs was needed so his wife could take Vanessa to the doc - ear infection. Mine is way better in snow, so I gave it to him instead of either the van or Nick's Grand Am. He promised he's have it back to me by 12:45. He called at 1 and was still an hour north of Toronto. I really don't like to drive the van. Really, really don't like to.
Then at 1:45, my father called to say the hearing aid was found, could I get over there right away and take mom to the audiologist. But I can't get my mother into the van - too high for her to climb into. Could I take my father's car from their house? Uh, no. SO I called the audiologist to reschedule the appointment for tomorrow at 1:30. Meanwhile, Tony took MY car to his office that's right across the street from a subway station. Ted would get off at that station on his way home from work, cross the street and drive it back home. But Tony got called away before Ted could get to the car, so he locked my keys inside the car, leaving it near the station. Ted called....I could go on, but I'll spare ya.
I hear you loud and clear Kae. I'm trying to prepare for weaning Aiden. It's not going to go well at all. I decided to try and cut out 2 feedings each day during the day and substitute with food or a drink etc..
Well he'll take a cup, but doesn't want to sit in his high chair anymore because he's no dummy. Now he's really clingy. I mean like I can't even go to the bathroom without a huge crying fit. Even his naps aren't going well.
First I got him to sleep wihtout nursing and the land lady shows up and the dog goes insane. Then she couldn't get the hint and leave she chatted and chatted which made no sense becasue no one could hear a thing over the dog barking her dang head off. So he decided he was up and didn't want to play. He wanted to nurse and that was all there was to it. When I didn't let him he decided I wasn't getting out of his sight and I was going to hold him or he would blackmail me with the constant crying .. well he knows his timing because Bethany was tyring to get her nap in then. THey had a field trip today so she was zonked. So he gets his way and I decided I'd put him on my lap and try to catch up with stuff on the computer (partially to chill myself out because by then I was stressing lol)
So I finally decided to give in and give him a nursing. He passed right out. Well of course Cody then decided to try and pull one over me and had the school call my grandma to get him from school. Then when he comes in he asks at the top of his lungs, dog now barking, if he coud go to grams. I said yes because she watned to spend time with him. Well that couldnt' be the end of it nooo lol. He had to come back in and see what tiem he had to be back (he should have known but oh well) and of course gets the dog going again. Well, guess what Aiden woke up. In between all of it Bethany spent an hour listening to music on the toilet. I really had to go by that time.
SO yeah this has ben a heckuva day. OH and my dad has called me 5 times today all about some stinking show that's on tonight that i just have to watch. I hate to tell him but all I wanna watch is the back of my eyelids.
