Victor and Vic Jr in dead Hope's kitchen discussing funeral arrangements. Victor asks kid to return to GC with him afterwards.
JT's all dressed up, ready to report to work for his first day on the job as NE's head of security. Kiss and coo, he wants to find them a house as the loft is too small.
Amber arrives at Kay's who asks her to be her assistant while she writes her book. Amber's thrilled.
Nick greets Neil at NE, asks Neil for Beauty of Nature ads in the new mag. Neil thinks idea is great, but Victor will not.
Nicki places call to Victor, leaves message to at least let the kids know he's alright. She's all decked out in black furs, has that sourpuss expression on her face.
Victor offers Vic Jr a job at twice his current salary. Kid says he'll think about it. We learn that Vic Jr. was second in his class at Harvard Business School, has an excellent job, makes a ton of money, did it all on his own. Victor says he's impressed, kid thanks him.
Amber asks Kay for advice regarding Daniel and her as a possible couple.
Nick leaves his magazine prospectus with Neil who promises to get back to him.
Victor calls Kay with the news of Hope. Seems Kay knew all along where Victor had gone. All sad, so Kay ends the session with Amber for the day. Those two are definitely forming a strong friendship! Kay weeps as Amber lets herself out.
Victor makes a cryptic effort to set his son straight about his role in Hope's life. Kid had all the wrong impressions about Hope's relationship with Victor. (They're still in the farmhouse kitchen.)
Victoria, pushing pram, meets her mother in CL, discuss JT starting work at NE. She wants to go back to work too but Nicki has reservations about daughter's strength.
Nick warns JT about working for Victor but JT says he can handle it, give him a little credit. Friendly exchange.
Vic Jr. tells Victor he wants nothing from him, all smug and over-confident. But Victor continues with his "there is a lot you don't know, I can teach you so much" to no avail. Kid boasts about going to Harvard, he's so smart, blah, blah. (My husband went to Harvard, and lemme tell ya, it can teach book stuff, but they can still be as dumb as a bag of hair sometimes, LOL.)
Victoria sends an email to her friend Sabrina with catch-up news.
Katherine gives Nicki the news about Hope, and that's where Victor is now, but he'll be home tonight after the funeral. Nicki wonders about their son (Vic Jr.), Kay says Victor never mentioned him. Nicki is concerned what the kid could possibly do to the dynamics of her family in GC.
Vic Jr. picks out burial clothes for Hope. Uck - sad.
JT stops by home with lunch for Victoria and encourages her to go back to work with a private nanny for Reed. Kisses, ILY's. She's delighted.
Kay assures Nicki that she is the love of Victor's life. Kay believes that Hope's death will profoundly change things for Victor. Nicki says but not for her.
Jana encourages Amber to go after Daniel. Amber resists, but you can see she is definitely considering it. (Jana is growing on me!!) Jana calls Kevin to arrange a double date dinner tomorrow night with Daniel and Amber.
Nicki calls Nick with the Hope news, wants them all to reach out to Victor in his "time of need" but Nick refuses. (Nicki is obviously trying to freeze out Vic Jr.'s possible take-over of HER son's place in Victor's life and company. Too little too late, honey, lol.)
Another Victor and Vic Jr. scene - civil exchange as Victor wants kid to consider carefully his job offer. Kid says he's going to sell the farm. Victor says he'll buy it, keep it in the family and will put the deed in Jr's name. Jr.is blown away, thankful. Victor gives Jr. his card and is about to leave, pitches once more about working for NE, cautious tentative hug. Jr. sheds a tear as Victor shuts the farmhouse kitchen door behind him.

Victor, back in GC, tells Phyllis and Nick that he got to know Vic Jr. and that he has a lot of potential. Nick says 'that's nice".
wow, sounds good. And I hope that Victor Jr goes works at Newman. I kind of like him. And I am loving Amber, so weird since I use to loathe her. I love that her friendship with Kay makes Jill furious
