Phyllis encourages Nick to reach out to his father. Nick says nope.
Sharon and Jack find the spy camera, speculate that Gloria placed it there.
Michael's back from Korea where he tracked down Jeffery's lady friend with whom he's been involved for many years, and to whom he has been sending a lot of Gloria's money. Seems Jeff plans to relocate to Korea at some time. Gloria's ticked off about the money, not by jealousy.
Victoria's having nightmares about the CS collapse - she's worried about her parents.
Jack and Sharon watch the video from the camera, see Jeff putting something into Gloria's purse - the bottle of poison, but they don't know that yet.
Jack has a heart-to-heart with Jeff, makes him an offer to pay him to convince Gloria to move out. Jeff's somewhat intrigued.
Michael explains to Gloria that Jeff isn't doing anything illegal - joint bank accounts and all. She's faking stomach pains. Lauren says she doesn't understand why Gloria persists in staying at the Abbotts (good point, lol). Lauren and Michael reluctantly accept Gloria's invitation to dinner that night.
Niki hires Brad.
Victoria meets her father at GCAC, talk about Hope and her son. Victoria isn't thrilled that her father asked Vic Jr. to work at NE.
Gloria talks to Kevin about her plans to fall violently ill at dinner, needing to be rushed to hospital. Kevin reminds her to take more of the poison.
Brad shakes hands with Cane who welcomes him to Jabot, agree to meet for drinks later so Brad can "pick his brains".
Victor and Victoria again - he reassures her that her coma and the decision about her baby had nothing to do with the split-up with Niki. He's a little surprised she wants to go back to work so soon, but is supportive. Along come Phyllis and Nick. Victor speaks highly of Vic Jr. Nick scowls.
Good scene with Jack and Jeff! Really good episode!! Jeff refuses Jack's offer of $3 million for Jeff and Gloria's half of the house, says it's too low. In blows Glo acting really obnoxious. Jeff smirks. After Jeff and Gloria leave the room briefly, Jack and Sharon rifle through Glo's purse and find the bottle, open it, smell it, replace it, then put back the spy camera, scoot upstairs. They are now really suspicious!!
Yet another great scene with Jeff and Gloria as she tells him she's sick of his blackmail. Jeff tells her he's going to accept Jack's offer to buy them out, then moves the camera into the dining room.
Jack and Sharon join Phyllis and Nick for dinner at GCAC. Nick announces that Neil has agreed to have Beauty of Nature ads in the magazine.
Neil voices his concern to Victor that now with Brad and Nick gone, they will be short staffed. Victor says he thinks that a solution to that problem will present itself very soon. Flash over to Jr. in farm kitchen talking to someone on the phone - sounds like he just quit his job (??).
JT and Victoria - little domestic lovey-dovey.
Niki notices that David's upset about her hiring Brad, asks him not to be so suspicious of everyone she hires. Hugs, but the expression on David's face belies his growing desperation. It's subtle, but it's there.
I think it kind of stinks that Vincent Irrizary got stuck in a role like David that seems to be headed to a point of no return. At least when he was Dr David he had some redeeming qualities.
I am really liking this Jack and Sharon stuff. And as much as I love Nick I am amused that he is upset about Victor jr.
While waiting for Cane at GCAC, Brad hits on some random lady. Cane watches, compliments Brad on his "smooth moves". Brad asks for the lowdown on Jabot. Nothing much there.
Gloria admits to Kevin that she's puzzled by how well she feels considering all the poison in her system. Mike and Lauren arrive. Gloria complains she isn't feeling very well, then adds drops of the "poison" to her drink. She's beginning to look more and more like Lily Munster.
Next: Victoria tells her mother that Victor didn't hold anything back about his son. No, not Nicholas, Victor Jr.
Shelly, I think that Jeff replaced the poison with water because when Gloria does fake her big attack and gets hauled off to the hospital, I read that it's found that she has no poison at all in her system.
I'm getting a big kick out of watching Jeffery outsmart Gloria. He's a wonderful actor and has that perfect evil-doer smile, lol.
Also read that Jeff gets really insistent about his conjugal expectations. THAT ought to be hilarious.
