Have to find the baskets in the basement, I reuse those every year.
Speaking of remodeling, I'm glad I have a cousin that does floors, a dad that does electrical and a brother in law that can frame out our basement. An uncle of mine redid our old bathroom in our last house, it was all dark brown. The tub, toilet, floor, tile, sink, etc, etc. It came out very nice.
Thank goodness for friends & relatives who are in the trades!
And in return my husband helps his friends with their computers.
We have horrible weather here and everybody is sick to death of it! We had a few days of sunshine, then wham! Ice pellets and cloud cover again. At least it's creeping up to minus 4 C. Don't get me talking about the weather, lol.
Nice to have family in the trades. No luck here with that, sadly. The fellow we hired is the brother-in-law of my friend Marilyn's so, He used to be a chemical engineer and switched into contracting for the fun of it. I think he actually is doing it because it is so much more lucrative.
And I just received a call from the granite supplier and my choice is no longer available and I have to drive all the way up to Woodbridge to see the options. Argh. This renovation isn't going very smoothly, to say the least. Is the spirit of bathrooms trying to tell me something???
with anyone who remodels, they say each thing is like opening a new can of worms.
Like when we ripped out our old stuff, we found some of the wood to be rotted, had to replace some 2x4's and then the plumbing was done backwards, so we had trouble getting new faucets. Crazy!
