Disappearing Shelly!! Congrats to you. Sorry for all the food talk over the weekend.

Not much going on today. Chloe has her quarter year blood work appointment late this afternoon. I'll turn on Y&R in a few minutes, report any good stuff.

We watched Sleepless in Seattle last night on tv. What a cute movie that was!! Meg Ryan was adorable before she had that creepy work done on her face, a la Nicole Kidman. What is the name of the actor who played Walter? Bill Pullman?

Ithink that's right Kae. However, I'm not sure either lol. Congrats Shelly!!! Tina, I see you're posing agan so welcome back. Glad to see your travels were safe.

I'm in a pretty good mood today oddly. I'm out of my funk and feelling pretty good. I feel like I may have lost some weight too, but unlike shelly I have no clue because a while back I threw all of the scales out of the house. My aunt has that talks and it sounds so mean all the time lol. So, I decided after using hers that they are just too depressing to have around.

Jess I don't use the scales at home either. Thats what I pay weight watchers for. Scales scare me. And thanks ladies for the congrats. And the food talk this weekend was nothing compared with what the lady at weight watchers did to us. She had a list of all of the Easter candys and the amounts of points wasted on each one. Disapointing especially since Easter is on a Sunday and I weigh in on Monday. So there is no time to make up for the bad sunday. So this will be tough.

I enjoyed Sleepless in Seattle...Haven't watched it in some years though.

We haven't had scales in the house for years! I have a "test skirt" and "test pants" I use. At the moment, neither will zip up. furious.gif

Congrats Shelly!!!

I don't remember Bill Pullman in Sleepless in Seattle. When I think of that movie, I just think of Meg and Tom. It's been a while since I've seen it though.

Sloooooow day here. Blah.

Some St. Patrick's Day trivia from "Trivia Today":

St. Patrick is the patron Saint of Ireland, but he wasn't
Irish. Patrick was born in Britain (or possibly Wales). His
father was a wealthy alderman and a Christian. When Patrick
was 16 years old, pirates captured him during a raid and
sold him as a slave in Ireland.

***

Patrick didn't just convert the Pagans to Christianity. At
his instance, the traditional laws of Ireland were codified.
Patrick modified them to harmonize with Christian practice,
and he mitigated the harsher ones, particularly those that
dealt with slaves and taxation of the poor.

***

St. Patrick's Day became an official public holiday in
Ireland in 1903. Prior to that, it was only observed as a
religious holiday.
