Moore gene pool, and other scans...

Okay, this is the first of a bunch of stuff that I'm going to post over the course of the next few days, but I'm a little pressed for time right now because of this crazy deadline (over on Tuesday)...

My husband just scanned the pictures that our youngest daughter ("Arizona daughter") sent the other day. She apparently had a really difficult time convincing Glamour Shots what it was that she needed, but finally found one picture that she liked, and had them crop the head out, blow it up, and give her that picture too.

Also, I think that I found in my computer archives a few shots of the older two kids. I'll post those later, and eventually I'll add the scans of the documents I mentioned in that other thread.

Here's our 5'-10" "baby". Her natural hair color is actually lighter than this, but she darkened it slightly because she was sick of looking so pale. I thought that she looked beautiful, but it's her hair!

OH -- I forgot to add that the whole point of her having this picture taken was because of the necklace that she's wearing. This was a necklace that my sister left for her when she died in 1991. Our daughter wears it all the time now, and she wanted me to have a keepsake photo of it.

[I'm adding a picture of our daughter with the little girl for whom she acts as nanny, on those days when she isn't in class. I painted out the little girl's face because I don't have her parents' permission to post her picture on the internet, and they may not feel comfortable with that. She's four...]

Thank you, jojo. I have to tell you that she's a very sweet, thoughtful, and reliable young lady.

Sibling pictures will follow in the next day or two.

The husband...

I hadn't forgotten. I've just been busy! More (Moore???) kid pics will follow as soon as I can sort through stuff.

In the meantime, here is a VERY recent picture of my husband.

Thank you, KaeEll. LOL...!!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of him, as a matter of fact, because it really captures his personality. There was a second one that I almost posted, in front of the same window, but a slightly longer shot, and it's another smiling one, but it didn't QUITE capture the same spark that this one did. Close, but not quite... There's another picture that I really love, taken on our deck about six years ago, but this is THE most recent picture that I have of my husband, and it's exactly the way he looks when he's just about to burst into giggles, or has just finished having a good laugh!

Thank you, Shelly. Me too... It was probably one of the very first things that I was attracted to when we first met.

And, yeah -- The White House makes for a pretty good backdrop in a picture! LOL... Layfayette Park is between my husband's office building, and The White House, but essentially it's "across the street"... During lunch, he loves to sit in the park when it's nice weather.

Dinky pictures.

Okay, I apologize for the size of these three pictures, but I can't find the original images to make them larger.

These are OLD pictures, probably taken about four years ago at my younger nephew's former house. (Did you follow that???) Because my older nephew (the one to the far left) was visiting from Florida, the "old folks" insisted on some picture-taking. This, of course, prompted all five wretched cousins to become silly!

My two nephews are acting as bookends in these pictures, and my three kids are in the middle. Arizona-daughter is 5'-10", so it gives you an idea of how tall the three guys are!

I promise to dig out better (larger and more current) pictures of my oldest daughter, and of my son, but I had to start somewhere!

Me poor old eyes, Moore! They are so tiny. But lovely looking kids from what I can see, all of them.

Thanks for FINALLY sharing, LOL. No Cousin Itt, eh? *snort*

I understand, KaeEll -- I can't see them either, but at least I already know what they all look like!

Cousin Itt remains locked in the closet, although Cousin/Nephew Drew is doing a pretty good impersonation in that last picture, pretending to lick Arizona-daughter, who was unaware of what he was doing until she saw the picture! LOL...

I stole these from my oldest daughter's personal site, and had to take what I could get size-wise, but I think that the originals are around here somewhere...

Oldest child.

Okay, I'm REALLY trying to avoid cleaning that turtle tank!

Here are four pictures of my oldest daughter. The one of her in the red dress was taken fairly recently (within the past year, I think) at her place in North Carolina, just before she and her boyfriend were about to go out.

The group picture was taken when she received a writing award during her senior year in college. She's in blue, standing in between her younger sister (whose face I'm sure you all recognize by now), and her boyfriend.

The third picture was a quick snapshot that I took when I went down to her college graduation. Lord! I just realized that it's been very nearly three years ago now...!!!

The fourth picture is a silly one that she had taken to show off some absolutely outrageous boots that she happened to love. LOL...

It's very funny -- she'll be 25 in July, but when we're all out in a group, people always think that she's the youngest. It really irritates her! Without ID, she can't get a drink either... Everyone thinks that my son (middle child) is the oldest, my youngest is second, and my oldest is the baby... Without makeup (which she wears only when absolutely necessary), she can look sixteen years old.

One day, she may come to appreciate that!
