Thanks guys..I have to be there at 7 in the morning. My surgery won't likely start until like 9. I went to the store today and bought a book for the morning before the surgery. I can't eat or drink a single thing after midnight. So that wont be fun.

I will be in here tomorrow at some point after the surgery to let you all know how it went.

Shelly, we'll all be pulling for you tomorrow! Good luck and tell us how it all went, okay? It won't be much fun, but I'm sure it'll be just fine by the time you're back home.

Good thoughts your way!!

Nope not much pain...Doctor gave me vicodin so all is well there. I have a little drip thing on my nose poor Jolene didn't know what to make of it at first. I slept until a little bit ago. My mouth feels like the sahara desert. Other then that U am pretty good.

and yes Tess, please tell me that this is it and we really have spring. My tulips still haven't started coming up yet.

Haha, well no such luck. Took the first one around 2 and went straight to bed. I have a sister in law who is addicted to pain meds and so I am paranoid. I won't take them much. Though since I slept all day I will take one here in a bit to help me sleep through the night

Well Shelly you definitely beat me to the board lol. I'm so glad you did well. We ended up spending 2 hours at the doctor's ofice after 5 shots (for some reason the usual ones that are combined for one had to be split up into 3) and 3 tries at taking his blood for his lead screening the poor lil guy was so upset, and so was I. Luckily Phoenix was in better spirits and my mom helped out. Otherwise I wouldn't have made it home in time for Bethany after school. Totally insane we were in there at 11 and got out after 1. I guess I'll have to make our appointment for even earlier next time. If his doctor wasn't so good I would just see the nurse practitioner, but he really is woth the wait, and the reason he is late is his personal touch. He takes a lot of time with each patient and answers every question and then some. He even remembers small facts about each of his patients.

Anyways. Keep well Shelly.

Shelly, remember that the body heals more efficiently when it's not in pain, so take some meds so you're not in agony. Then go it without when you're doing okay.

I'm thinking of you and wishing you well.

A little pain medication can go a long way if your body isn't used to it. Take some, get some rest, feel better.

Shelly, Please take the medications that they prescribed. I can remember last year, after my surgery, when I was getting sick from the meds, being barely able to walk into the doctor's office, he gave me a long lecture about the body definitely healing quicker when it is not in pain. He gave me some tylenol with codine, and within days I was much more mobile and recovering.

I'm glad to hear that you are home and healing!

Sophia

Im actually not in much pain at all, the worst thing at the moment is kind of gross but I will share anyways. Ha, I have a bunch of like dried blood in my nose and there is nothing that I can do about it. Not allowed to blow my nose or anything. So ugh..I may take another shower in a bit see if I can steam some of it out. Haha

Oh goodluck hon. Thaty's the worst. This morni ng for some reason I woke up with a slightly bloody nose probably because it's so dry right about now. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I wouldn't have been able to fix the situation.

yeah, as soon as Vinnie leaves for work I will hop in the shower...the good thing about me not needing to take the meds so often is that I was able to take Jolene and drop her off at the day care. And I might make it to church tonight. So thats cool. I would feel guilty skipping school but going to church...but I feel driving 5 minutes to church and driving the half an hour to school is 2 totally different things..Oh well...we shall see

You're right they are totally diferent. Don't feel bad if you have to miss a class or a few. I'm sure your prof's will totally understand.

Not to mention, it would really be annoying to go to class and then being uncomfortable, tired or anything like that and not be able to concentrate.

I had a q tip with hot water earlier. I think I am just stuck with a stuffed up nose for a few days. Stinks because normally I could take some kind of medicine to unstuff me but I can't for this. As for the pain meds, I have only taken 3 and am actually not in any pain at all, am simply uncomfortable because I am so stuffed. But I just took another vicodin not because i hurt but because I am hoping it will help me sleep through my stuffiness.
