Chloe and Jill in GCAC discuss Lily. Jill already figured out on her own that Lily's pregnant. Then Lily and Cane lovey dovey as she moans about her father's reaction to her news.
Adam and Victor yap about B of N and the ad campaign. Adam's cocksure his idea of hiring Scarlet Johansen is brilliant, Victor says be careful of celebrities. (Shelly, I think we're supposed to dislike Adam, non? He sure is a pain in my book!)
Nick and Phyllis, cute banter in the magazine office, kisses.
Sabrina interrupts Nick and Phyllis's kisses to talk about renting the main floor of his building for Victor's art collection. Nick's not thrilled at the prospect of running into his father all the time.
Adam's still on his kick of changing the name of B of N. Victor says no. Victor does his mentoring thing. Adam calls his friend in NYC, says he's coming there on business and wants to keep track of the one person who did better than he did at Harvard. (Ack, that kid bugs the heck outta me.)
Neil gives Karen the news of Lily's pregnancy. Neil's upset. Lily's upset. Glum faces all around. Meanwhile, Lily's talking about letting her father raise the baby since he offered. Cane says he's ready for the responsibility of the child.
Nick agrees reluctantly to rent the space downstairs to his father thinking it would be kind of cool to have his father owing HIM for a change. (Nick doesn't yet know his father owns his mortgage to the building.)
Jill and Chloe discuss Lily again and her lack of stamina. Jill says she is VERY concerned about her. Chloe thinks Lily is bulimic. (Jill hasn't said anything about her strong suspicions she's pregnant.)
More Lily angst to Cane about disappointing him like she did her father.
Now Sabrina's in Victor's office. They kiss, her phone rings; Phyllis with the "yes" to the space. Sabrina is hesitant to put the foundation in Nick's building but Victor thinks what's really bugging her is telling Victoria about THEM.
Victoria arrives, Adam snarks, looks smug. (Remember, he knows Victor and Sabrina are lovers.)
Victoria is appalled when her father tells her he owns Nick's mortgage, says it puts her in a really awkward position. Victor explains he did it as a safety net for his son and it was a good business decision.
Phyllis wants to go to NYC to woo a friend, a fashion photographer, for Restless Style. Nick can't go so she'll go alone. (Hmm, will she see Adam there?)
{Note to Shelly about Gloria yesterday - she wants to move in with Michael and Lauren because her suite at GCAC isn't homey enough. And she kissed Alistair in front of Jeffery for the heck of it. Funny.}
Neil tells Karen about his idea of raising Lily's baby with her (Karen). Karen goes "what??"
Victoria's eyes bug out when Sabrina finally breaks the news about her involvement with her father. (Gross to me, too! I've decided that I don't like Sabrina. Do you?) Victoria is disgusted with Sabrina having an affair with her father, for lying, calls her an opportunistic tramp, no longer her friend, and throws her out of her house!
Karen and Neil disagree about raising Lily's baby for her. She has lots of good points, Neil thinks it will bring them closer. (Poor Karen!!)
Victor stops by Restless Style with contracts for the rental, polite chit chat with Phyllis and Nick. Victoria calls Nick, blurts out the Sabrina news. Nick rushes off to see his sister who is very upset.
More Lily angst with Cain. *sigh* He's really supportive, then in bursts Chloe, says she's there to take Lily to her doctor.
Victoria fumes to Nick about Sabrina and their father. Nick says their father never gave a damn what his kids thought, why would he now. Victoria takes the opportunity to tell Nick about the mortgage. "What?"
Next: Sabrina asks Victor how he could not be bothered that his daughter is so upset over them.
Victoria tells Niki that Sabrina and her father are having an affair.
Nick tells Phyllis that his father owns the mortgage to the building, that he bought it from the bank.
I don't like Sabrina. I don't think I liked her from the beginning. I think that Victoria was dead on with the oppurtunist thing. And I totally agree about the whole thing being Gross....Eric Braden has NOT aged as well as some of the other patriarch's in daytime.
I don't think we are suppose to like Adam either. I think that as long time viewers we are spose to root for the real Newman kids. I mean they had their successes given to them, but they had to work to keep them. And at least they aren't snobby.
Ugh about Lily. Don't know how much I love this story. Though Cain and Lily are growing on me.
Victoria was dead on with Sabrina, agreed!! I betcha Sabrina turns out to be some kind of con. She was the first one to put the moves on Victor, she initiated the affair. And then there are all these little weird signals going on between Sabrina and Adam, who I also think is up to no good. He's such an obnoxious little toad.
Eric Braeden is 67 years old! I think we're all supposed to be grossed out by his fling with a girl his daughter's age. Not that you could blame a guy for falling for that beguiling come-on Sabrina gave him.. He's a guy, after all, lol. But you'd think he's have the decency to stay away from his daughter's best friend anyway. Is Victor supposed to be looking this bad to the viewers?
And another thing. Does it make you cringe to hear Victor and Sabrina speaking (bad) French to one another? It drives me nuts! At least get them an accent coach if we're to be subjected to it!
I completely agree with all that you said. Remember my small theory that maybe Adam and Sabrina are working together. I am not yet convinced that they didn't know each other before.
And about Eric Braden. I agree that we are suppose to be disgusted. Though I looked up David Canary's age and he is 69 and I definitely think he has aged better. Anyways, the show is getting super good.
